Positive on the whole, but looks like Levy is the highest paid Director in the league? Not sure about that at all!

The Spurs info is out of date. Net debt is not £55m.

Since the sale of the Sainsbury's / UTC site and various other non-core properties, and with the £40m loan from ENIC (soon to be converted into shares), our net debt is now "negligible".

They're going by our latest annual report, for the year ended 30th of July 2013. We won't see an update until Sept/Oct at the earliest (probably later than that).

Cortese at Southampton and Gazidis at Arsenal were the highest paid.

Levy earns (from Spurs) probably less than a third what our best paid player earns.

And probably does three times as much work on the club's behalf.

Not even close
£1.658m paid to Daniel Levy

Gazidis: £1.825m
Nicola Cortes: £2.129m
Unnamed (It's Brady) £1.6m
Even Norwich City had a director paid more than Levy.

Also, it's worth noting that many "unnamed Directors" that were paid out close to Levy it also stats that the main person at the club is a cheif executive or managing director, so probably getting paid even more.

Levy may not be great at picking managers but he does have us in very good financial state. If it's true that our debt is gone, then that's a few million in interest per year wiped out, plus an additional 30 million of TV revenues. So our turnover for this year should be up to about 180 million.

The stadium difference is huge - Arsenal make around 90 million from match day revenues. When we get a new stadium that should also increase our turnover by another 30 million or so.

Interest charges for the year ending June 2013 were £8m, according to that Guardian article. So that's £8m saved per annum.

And, from what I understand, the new TV deal is worth some £50m more per annum per club. So income is likely to be nudging £200m for the year ending June 2014.

And once the stadium is built, income will rise by more like £50m, I'd imagine (including the naming rights deal). It's also not unreasonable to expect that, by then, other income streams (especially broadcasting and commercial) will have risen. So, by 2018, our income should be nudging, or even exceeding, £300m.

Yeah but she also worked in the kitchens on match days too!

This pisses me off...

"Levy must rue the way Spurs spent the once-in-a-history £86m for Gareth Bale last summer."

I really can't wait until next season when our signings start shutting a few people up.

Sent this to a gooner. Was telling him only yesterday that their wage bill is much higher than ours and he was saying they are very close. Pfft.

Wage bills for the past year

Manchester City - £233m
Manchester United - £181m
Chelsea - £179m
Arsenal - £154m
Liverpool - £132m
Tottenham - £96m

Yet your players and fans celebrate success as finishing ahead of us by 1 point 2 seasons running and are now celebrating finishing above us again by a little bit more. In all the major leagues, the final league table is usually very similar to the wage bill table.

Fact is, with two 4th place finishes and two 5th place finishes over the past 4 years, we have been over-achieving. 6th is where we should be and we class it as failure (we even class 5th as failure). You have been finishing 4th/3rd and celebrating like you've won a trophy. Mourinho knows its failure, and Wenger is the specialist. If you want to tell me you're about to win the FA Cup, well it has been 8 Years, 11 Months and 10 Days since Arsenal Last Won a Trophy.

P.S Competition time, spot the trophy!

Don;t know what, if any issue there is with what Levy gets paid. He works his nuts off with all that hiring and firing…..

Can't see the interest being correct. We pay £8m on £55m debt while west ham pay £4m on £77m debt? We have more assets so should be paying less interest no? Or will it depend on if it was long or short term?
