Final game at The Lane - Change flights or not?

So last year I booked a holiday to Vegas looked at the calendar for 14th May and saw it was clear so went ahead and booked with my family. Obviously I'm annoyed that I didn't consider the United game being rescheduled but there's nothing I can do about that now.

If I want to push my flights 24 hours it's going to cost me £500.

So, do I cough up the dough and enjoy the final game at The Lane or do I sell my ticket and have beating the scum as my final game there?

P.S. If anyone works at Virgin and can hook me up or has any advice that would be amazing.

@TottenhamMattSpur will have your ticket but only if you show him your drivers license.

500 quid is a disgusting amount to rearrange a flight...

Depends if you can stomach the price to see what will be a really emotional and historic match.

I wouldn't want to miss this game for anything, so I'd probably bite the bullet and pay for a new ticket.

Yep £180 of that is just an admin fee!

Hasn't it already been rearranged from the 13th to the 14th for TV? It would be criminal to move it again.

In your situation, had I got the £500 and the family were fine with it I wouldn't be asking on the forum as it would have been changed.

Haha, I did ring today but closed for bank holiday... Leaning towards that to be honest.

Change the flight. I missed out on the game down to being 1 loyalty point short. I will however be in the Bill Nick. Wouldn't miss that for the world.

hope your family accept your decision, myself i try and avoid booking anything when I know Spurs are playing. I only get to view it via sky/bt/stream these days due to not being able to go any more mainly to health reasons. I so nearly contacted you about the semi ticket, being a Hertfordshire based fan, but 1 it was too late plus getting to Wembley would be a mare for me.

really hope you have some luck this week which makes changing the flight affordable, and the family are okay even if it means only you travelling out a day later, because this game is special even if we aren't really going too far. i know there has been many changes since 1973/74 when I 1st stepped into the Lane, but it's still where I spent 10 years going every home game come league, cup, and even combination, and youth matches when I lived in Tottenham, so wouldn't want to miss the final 1.

good luck

ps where in Hertfordshire are you and have you booked your taxi for the airport;)

I'm in Hillingdon, a member on here who works for Virgin has kindly reached out and is going to see if they can help me out so fingers crossed! Family are cool about the flight change, couple of us are already flying out on the Monday anyway so hoping to get on the same flight as them.

Haha, that's the thing. I can't even soften the blow by selling the ticket for a decent amount of holiday spending money as StubHub puts a £125 limit on selling season ticket seats.

I will buy it off you for £150. How's that? :)
