Good result. It had everything to be a tough game, including our own play at times!
Bring it on.

I think USA would fit England the best. They have shown some weaknesses in there defence this tournament

Parris......not for me

Not so much the penalty more her overall game.
Really? I thought she looked good. Tracked back, burst forward, created chances. Her penalty was terrible but I thought that she had a good game.

Poor penalty
Fortunately we were so far ahead. With such a powerful shot like that from Lucy Bronze that for the third it makes perfect sense for her to take the next one after Parris has missed the last two. Especially if the score is a lot closer or it's level and we need a goal back as it could end up costly next time around.

That all said, a great result, a good chance in the Semi but they will have to cut out the defensive mistakes as better finishes could have made it a different score altogether.

I don't really follow the ladies game but apparently norway are really good and all the hosts of the podcast I listen too thought they would beat them. So 3-0 is a great result. (y)

Steph Houghton is outstanding

What sets her apart for me, apart from her outstanding reading of the game, is that she doesn’t let her personal difficulties interfere with her profession.

Her husband was forced to retire from playing last September after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
They had only been married a month when he was diagnosed.
That can’t be an easy thing to deal with, but she is out there giving everything for the cause.

She wasted too many good possibilities imo.
Tracking back is her job.
Good work with the assist for the goal.
Penalty was a good example, of the wasted opportunities part.
Great overall performance from the team and against what I though was a very good opponent.
Our Two centre backs are a little concerning also.

I'm looking forward to the France USA game tonight. Tough one to call.

I reckon France might just do it. The USA look suspect at the back. Very good going forward but vulnerable to a well coached team.

I haven't really followed the women's game much but recognised quite a few of the England players. The quality has gone up 2 or 3 levels from when I last watched them. What a player Lucy Bronze is. Her and Parris are monsters down the right. Fran Kirby also catches the eye, although young Stanway played some wonderful balls when she came on. White, Stokes and Scott also impressed.

Thoroughly enjoyed that match. It's so refreshing to see none of the histrionics and crowding the ref and the other bullshit that plagues the mens game.

I'll probably start watching the WSL this season now that Spurs Ladies are up there.
