Humiliating for Everton since Wigan have actually rotated players from the spanking at Liverpool. Imagine that Wigan B.

0-0 Millwall Blackburn half time. Dire game.

Both sides have brought their poor form into this one. Millwall - possibly because they're at home and think they've got more chance here than in a replay - have worked themselves into the game a bit quicker.

David Bentley's looked as bad as anyone.

They've been domininat since I've turned over and should be winning. Another game for Chelsea is good though.

Such a stupid idea having the semi final at Wembley.

Well at least that was a good result for us.
Extra time and lots of suspensions and injuries for Chelsea please- and a defeat.

Don't think so. Increases the possibility that I see one day live my Spurs playing at Wembley ;)

Draw is excellent. That means Europe will see:

Champions League
Manchester United
Manchester City
Tottenham / Chelsea / Arsenal
Tottenham / Chelsea / Arsenal

Euro League
Tottenham/ Chelsea / Arsenal / Liverpool / Everton
Swansea
Wigan / Blackburn / Millwall

So atm it looks like Pool and Everton out of Europe :)

FA Cup final losers don't get a place in Europe any more, they changed the rules a few years ago. 6th place will get Europa League if one of City/United/Chelsea win the final.

But I really like the idea of Scousers having to cheer on Man United to get them into Europe....

O rly? They must have changed it not long ago. 2011 Stoke was in the final and went to Europe.

They definitely talked about changing the rules, so much so that I'd assumed they'd done it, but the PL website says otherwise. My bad.

Would be great to see Wigan in Europe instead of Liverpool

Erm, maybe before getting carried away with writing off Liverpool that the scousers are only 2 points behind Arsenal. And in much better form.

Whisper it quietly, but there is a team much more likely than Liverpool to be looking at NO European football next season.

Would Cazorla stay, if that happened? Podolski? Wilshere? ...Wenger?

I reckon they'd stay yeah, even with no EL. If they go 2 seasons out of the CL then no. Firesale.

funny that manUre v chel$ki match -- SAF being silly again:

Chelsea interim boss Rafael Benitez said Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson ignored their handshake before Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final.
The pair have had an increasingly fraught relationship since the Spaniard's time at Liverpool and the tension surfaced again at Old Trafford.
Benitez said: "I was waiting for him at the beginning, so you should ask him. I have education. I was ready.
He added: "It's up to him. I was in the way waiting. If you are brave enough, ask him."

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21737233

It is not the first controversy surrounding Ferguson and a handshake. In February 2012, when Luis Suarez refused to shake Patrice Evra's hand before a match, Ferguson said: "I couldn't believe Suarez refused Evra's handshake. You saw the referee [Phil Dowd]. He didn't know what to do. It was a terrible start to the game and it created a terrible atmosphere.
"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club. He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again. He could have caused a riot."

SAF -- "I mean, with that pre-match handshake I could have been killed,... and refusing it could have caused a riot..." :oldman:

laughing at SAF,.... what a bore :pompous:

Yeah, I suspect you're right.

Would it, however, stop the media from reporting that all their best players were "eyeing a move to Champion's League side [Insert club name here]"? No. Which would be quite entertaining for at least 12 months. ;)

The funny thing is that Arse manage to lose their best players even with CL football. God knows what would happen if they missed out all together, it'll probably just be Steve Bould left sitting legs crossed on the bench with a look of mild annoyance on his grim face, and Almunia.
