I think that’s ridiculous in slow motion… didnt see it in real time but not a red for me.

That’s not a red for me - no excessive force in that challenge. It is high and studs up so I get why it’s given, but I just don’t think it’s excessive force and I thought that was one of the requirements for it to be a red(?).

So if Everton go out here then I think that means that DCL would be suspended for our game.

This whole farce of pretending the referees have any option but to do what they're told when looking at the monitor has to stop.

You know that will be overturned on review but because some plum on VAR thinks that was a bit naughty they tell the ref to send him off.

And why were they showing the ref the replay at Benny hill speed?

That's another example of refs being told how to apply the laws. Imo. As opposed to making a judgement.

I get it as we all moan about consistency. But you end up with a really soft red like that. Which is just a detrimental to the game. (In my opinion of course)

Not enough intent or contact for that matter whatever the rule book says. VAR actively looks for red cards which makes them much more likely.

That might be the worse decision in the VAR era yet - never a red card, it's not even a foul

Yep. They’re due to face Villa next (of course).
If it's a three game ban it is our game as well, unless a potential replay of this game comes before it.
