I am fed up with reading the ITK section, otherwise known as the suicide watch and wanted to express that I am so looking forward to the start of a brand new season. I know we had the Euro's and the Olympics but God, I cant wait for Saturday. No matter who starts up front :)

I am, and I'm not. I worry that the game will not go well, and that that will set the tone for the season. On the other hand, a win would be a fantastic result and set us up beautifully. It would also keep the press off AVB's back.

I am still on a high from the olympics. Football is a bit meh at the moment. I am sure I will get into it come september time but at the moment not that exicted.

I'd be much more excited if the Modric situation was done, he was playing in Spain and we had ourselves a new striker or two and a replacement for Luka. Lloris would've been triffic too.

Just wishful thinking eh?

Looking forward for the start of the season, hopefully at least one more new face before it kicks off. I am more worried about playing this high line than the eventual 11 that turn out against Newcastle.

Not really, on a comedown from the olympics right now. By the weekend should be looking forward to it though, well I hope!

Definitely. I've got my football head back on after the Olympics and I can't wait to see those beautiful bastards play competitively again.

I've got mixed feelings, I have no idea what to expect. It could turn out that it is absolutely brilliant, modric comes back and he starts playing and AVB's style could fit us perfectly...

On the other hand, even if we do get adebayor in time, he hasn't had much of a pre season, is kane ready to have pressure on him to score? How soon will vertonghen adapt? Cisse and Ba definitely won't be giving him much time to think at the weekend...

Not at the moment. Kind of feels like there hasn't been an off season with the European championships then the Olympics. Also with our appalling effort in the transfer market (failing so far to buy a striker) I'm finding it quite hard to get excited about the new season

This will be my 54th season. My first game was watching them win 10-4 againstg Everton and I was hooked for life. I' m as excited now as I was then.

Agree although you will find this isn't an appalling transfer window as such more a normal window.

But I'm not personally looking forward to the new season but will try to be positive as poss.

I'm always excited when it comes to the new season, but we need to sort the Modric saga out and bring in a couple of strikers before the window closes.

I am, think under a more tactic-oriented manager (not discrediting Hary's tactical know-how but AVB seems to put more of an onus on formations, drills etc) players like Bale, Sandro, Rafa, Siggy etc are going to thrive, also looking forward to seeing the Kaboul and Vertonghen partnership develop. Would obviously like the Modric situation sorted and a striker that can lead the line, but can't have it all I guess.
