I don’t even know what I want anymore. Football and results are terrible. We know of so many of the ingrained issues. Conte clearly not blameless, but he’s gone god level on his rant tonight….I think this seasons a write off. Maybe let him go nuts til May! It’ll fuck the team but maybe fuck the club in a way, we have a real reset

“Ryan Mason Caretaker Manager” makes for even uglier reading than a sulky Italian who feels like the world owes him a trick.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

All this talk of "We'll be back here in 2 years", well yes we most likely will. But it's nothing out of the ordinary.

The average tenure of a PL manager since 1992 across all clubs is a shade over 2 years and Wenger , Fergie and Moyes at Everton skew that average up.

Good coaches can only improve on potential and usually that takes time. Now with Conte, you can argue that over the years he has improved players. There are younger players at Inter, Chelsea and Juventus that became very good in their positions under him because he used them to the best of their abilities.

We want to press our opponents but we also want to keep Son and Kane in the side. Well only one is possible, because they cannot press anymore and to be blunt Son was more about effort than ability with his pressing in the first place.

We want to play on the front foot, have more possession. Great, do you trust our defenders to cope with the high line? Do you trust them to not only win their 1v1's but to make the right decisions of when to go with their man and when to drop off? Do you trust whoever we have alongside Romero not to make at least 2-3 big errors per game?

And it all starts from the back. LLoris cannot play in a possession oriented side, because he panics when pressured and constantly chooses the wrong passing option. Hojbjerg cannot play on the turn, Son cannot operate with his back to goal. We have a derth of creative quality, but neither GLC nor N'Dombele were solving that without also bring another set of problems.

We've had two experienced, top coaches come in and look at what we have and say "counter attacking is the best way to get the most from Kane and Son as well as make up for our lack of quality elsewhere". Yet still that lack of quality has not been adequately addressed whilst our strength has dwindled.

Can say what you like about Conte but he's bang on regarding the club. It's not about winning for them it's about running at an optimal business level.
Then why did they hire Jose and Conte. Why hire winners if they don't want to win.

Bottom line, the team can perform much much better than they have this season. We saw it in the last few months of last season and we'll see it again under another manager (eventually).

Conte cares. The problem is that some of our players don't.
Also why would they if the owner doesn't. Everyone has their faults, but the owner is not going to be running away scot free this time thinking he's brilliant once again hiring another top-4 manager.

Everything went as expected, I hoped he would sign few CBs though since he always signs good ones. Didn't even need Di Marzio saying he would leave, if you followed his career for few years then you can easily tell. Thought he would do better against "top 4" teams but I also didn't expect top 4 last year. He was never going to leave any other way. Pretty standard Conte stuff for the most part really.

Is the football terrible? Yes

Do I want him gone? Yes but it will change fuck all

Is everything he said on the money? Yes

Will we be in the same position in 18 months with a different manager? Yes

ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES OF A CLUB!!!!

I've put the feelers out re what's just happened and will report back if I hear anything.

The irony is, what’s he’s saying is true. There’s a lot more to it including things of his own making but what he is saying about the club is correct and we all know it.
I don’t think we ALL do know it. You’ve only got to read one or two posts on the past couple of pages to see there’s either a fundamental lack of understanding of what’s clear and obvious or a stubborn refusal to do so as it’s seen as mitigation. Either way it’s baffling

Sorry but he has a team that can and should beat the likes of Sheffield United, Milan and Southampton. Levy and Co have him these tools - they aren't perfect, not saying we should expect a title yet, but the problem is on the field and training ground, imo.

But that doesn't make him wrong about Levy. It's two separate discussions. Conte has been a desperately disappointing manager this season with both the way we've played and the results, particularly the way we were knocked out of the cups, but I'm still looking for the lie in what he said today.

I think he’s made it even harder for Levy to sack him as he’s a loose cannon this man won’t be signing any NDA’s or FDA’s like others have.

He has called the club out rightfully and the players as well, the problem is the players he has called our really are dier, loris, Kane, son and those.here before he arrived which is a brave thing to do

It’s interesting to me that the team played better when Conte wasn’t there. I think that says a lot. My guess is the players are sick of being moaned at, his words and actions point to not trusting them and then they get berated for not taking responsibility. In every respect this guy is his own worst enemy and needs to go, now.

I believe every single person at the club needs to go. Levy, the board, all the players, all the staff, every single employee at every level throughout the club. Get everyone out and start again from scratch.
Before we start from scratch we need to get in an exorcist to drive out the devil’s curse from the club and then sanitize the trading ground and stadium. We’re obviously cursed😄.

Also we are called a top 6 club but we don’t go for the same calibre of quality compared to the other 5!

why is this? what’s been our big boy
Standout signing over the last 5 years?
