Can we get him the f**k out? Worse than Mourinho at this point, at least he never bad-mouthed the club, while he was here. Even if he's right, doesn't matter.

We’ve all known for quite some time that the players have looked disinterested but for Conte to confirm it in his interview reflects very poorly on Levy and co. It looks like he lost the squad quite some time ago yet Levy has persisted with him… by doing so he’s compounded the situation and left us up shit creek without a paddle. A new manager and a revitalised squad fighting for top 4, FA Cup and the Champions League was surely the obvious choice to make. Now we look flat, the players have checked out, Conte’s having a meltdown and our season is going to shit… top 4 is still a possibility but if results go against us, missing out on Europe altogether is a really possibility.

How can you think the club isn't the problem at this point? And I don't mean the fact that it's purely that we are Tottenham; that view is just bollocks; of course we (Tottenham) can be successful. I mean the structure within the club, the chairman, the recruitment, and everything that enables the manager to be successful?

Mourinho AND Conte. Both failed here. Successful EVERYWHERE else.
Comparing the squads we gave them to the ones they had at Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid, Man.U etc etc is pointless.

Jose and Conte have been found out by managing us just as much as our owners have been exposed as the main issue.

Listen from 4th minute on, he is 100% calling out the players more than he is Levy. And I agree with him!

Spurs media like Ali Gold, Dan Kilpatrick, Charlie Eccleshare, Jack Pitt-Brooke etc. constantly dig out the manager as soon as things go wrong and never once question if the players are good enough.

It's become quite clear, as Conte says, that it doesn't matter one bit who the manager is because the players just aren't good enough! They dont have the ability, the heart, the mindset or the balls to win anything!

Please god this finally sinks in with people and we sent a huge chunk of these players packing, as we wont get anywhere with them.

Good coaches improve their players though. Has he improved anyone?

To me it looks like the players don't believe in the system. I wonder if there's a communication issue as well. I've seen a few interviews with Conte where he answers a totally different question to the one he's been asked. I'm not sure he's doing it on purpose.

It's his job to change the mentality. Thus far, he has failed.
The mentality comes from on high and filters down to the players - that's why it lasts even as the players (and managers) change. Our owner(s) won't speculate enough on players* and finishing top 4 is the aim, when it should be a consolation for not reaching your main aim of top spot.

Why did Danjuma come to Spurs instead of Zaniolo? Why did GLC come to Spurs instead of Bruno Fernandez? Why didn't we get Grealish when he had told his team mates he was off to Spurs?

The managers to blame is he?

The players that are here see who the manager wants and then see who he gets and it sends a poor message.

All the while there are enough Spurs supporters attacking the manager there will be too few attacking ENIC and we will never improve enough to win trophies.

Given he threw the team and the owners under the bus in no uncertain terms, I’ve no idea how you can even defend him at this point. I want levy out but Conte can fuck off, he’s done a shit job this year and now he’s acting like an absolute tool

Defend him? After that rant, he deserves a statue outside the stadium.

Brilliant from Conte, he’s totally right. You are deluded if you think things will change under Poch, Gallardo, Enrique. Football might be sexier but we will win nowt without serious structural change on and off the pitch. Levy fucking out.

So why should I keep paying thousands for my season ticket? Seems pointless.

It's his job to change the mentality. Thus far, he has failed.

It’s his job to coach the players and win games. It’s not his job to completely change a mentality that is burned into every inch of the club. 20 years of failure all in all, it’s ludicrous to expect any manager to come in and change that. People will argue Poch but we still didn’t win anything, and look how the dna of this current Tottenham Hotspur just drained him and drained him in the final months. Conte should be judged on the football and performances in the league/cups, which haven’t been good enough and he will be sacked soon. Everything else falls on not just Levy but that entire board, which quite frankly on the football side of things have been fucking pathetic overall and it’s getting worse.

Nothing he said is incorrect. He has been awful as a manager overall and never should have been hired, but I for one love that he is going out like this. Levy hired him. Levy hired Nuno. Levy hired Mourinho. Levy went 18 months not buying a player. The current state of the club is on Levy and anything Conte can do to get more egg on Levy's face as he leaves is a-OK with me. I hope he doesn't have some sort of non-disclosure clause and that there is a tell all interview after he leaves or is fired where he is even more direct with criticism of Levy.

Tactics Tim also gave out so called truth bombs.

Remember how he basically said Super Jan was shit?

Usually people only take you seriously if you have a few shiny pots behind your name. Tim hasn’t even managed an aptitude certificate

I can completely appreciate why one would want Conte out. I personally think he is very clearly done here and I think he knows it to as do the players. But pretty much everything he is saying is true about the club. It’s absolutely fine to want Conte gone but also agree with what he’s saying. He’s not saying it to “save his skin” because his skin doesn’t need saving. Failing at Spurs is really not that big a deal because we have a failure mentality that runs from the head of the table all the way down to the players. I have read page after page on this very forum saying the same for years now ever since Poch and even before. Criticise Conte’s tactics, I’d agree with you, but that doesn’t mean what he’s saying in regards the ingrained mentality at the club isn’t 100% true. Until Levy et al leave things are just not going to change. It’s just refreshing to hear a manager actually say it for once regardless of how I feel about him.

He's not completely wrong. But the thing is, he's also to blame for the situation. One thing doesn't exclude the other.

He's stupid if he thinks that us dropping points vs the worst team in the league has nothing to do with him. And Southampton didn't even have two centre backs for like an hour.

I have a niggling feeling that Antonio Conte and Tim Sherwood are quite different calibres of manager.

Can’t quite put my finger on it.

Just an inkling.

Just thinking. Whilst I am happy Conte is saying what a lot of us feel. I can't help but think leaving it until he is on the way out is him doing it to preserve his reputation, rather than for the benefit of us.
Probably gets sacked whenever he does though

Almost 100% agree. The only thing I disagree with is that I actually don't think he tried to put much blame on Levy, it was almost 100% focused on the players, just poorly worded.
