Health comes first and he clearly rushed back too fast before - it's good that he's going home to rest and spend more time with his family. He's doing the right thing.

Also, at this point I think it's probably a good thing in a footballing sense too. The players aren't idiots and will be well aware that Conte hasn't signed a contract and now looks very unlikely to stay. Maybe having Stellini cover for a bit will actually take a weight off the players minds and allow them to play more freely, like when a caretaker manager steps in and teams get a small bounce. I doubt it's a total coincidence that our only solid 90 minute performance of the entire season was against City when Stellini was in charge.

Let the conspiracy theories commence!

He’s living tissue over endo skeleton. The control panel is in his skull (hence the syrup).

his gallbladder op was actually a cover story. The real truth was that his master neural chip needed replacing (serial winner number 509XC).

that chip was replaced but was actually faulty. Hence his prolonged stay in Italy.

How long before "We have mutually agreed to terminate Antonio's contract as he takes the time needed to recover. Ryan Mason will assume first team duties for the remainder of the season. We wish Antonio well."?
I'd be shocked if we ended with Conte and didn't get Poch straight in with him available. Took us long enough to get a manager last time so can't see us holding out.

I’d rather we let new owners make this decision…
Should be Paratici or his replacement really. Always need the director to pick his manager. Paratici and Conte are a good package, its just a shame Levy is involved. We need an owner who let's them get on with it and provide good funds. I doubt we will though, I think Levy gets Poch back and just hope he gets on with Paratici or we get someone else who does.

"Sudden and serious emergency" doesn't sound good.

Hope he makes a full recovery and he's alright.

Get well soon, boss.
English isn't his first language, but I think he clearly meant that the surgery to remove his gallbladder was an emergency - not a new emergency now keeping him out.

Normally he's instructing constantly on the sidelines.

For a few months now hes mostly been grimacing.

Could be cause of the team, could be because he's feeling it.

What is clear is he hasn't been himself and thats going to effect everything.

He needs to take all the time to recover physically and mentally

That's literally Conte's tactic. I don't understand why people think they were suddenly instructing the team to do new stuff

Never seen anything as aggressive as that Man City game from Conte. At times Dier was further forward than either of our CMs.

I believe he meant that the operation was due to a sudden and serious emergency not that he's had a sudden and serious emergency during his recovery.

Get well soon Antonio, take as long as you need, we will get behind Stellini & Mason's Blue & White Army until then.

But then where does that leave us in the summer? Stellini is Conte’s trusted right hand man and the rest of the backroom staff, excluding Mason, are Conte’s team.

Say Stellini takes the job, which I actually doubt he would do, who’s to say Conte doesn’t take a job in the summer and take his entire back room staff with him?

I’d much rather we rolled the dice with Pochettino than kicked this can down the road whilst continuing to pay Conte >£1m a month for sitting at home.
Probably Poch. There may also be a financial issue?

The other 2 CB's pushing up is Conte. Dier has been sitting holding the back line (trying to...).

That was definitely a switch from what we had seen.
Yup, dier pushing up was an in game switch by mason and stellini.

It looked to have backfired massively against leciester
