There’s a lovely place for people like you, the ignored list. Cheerio
In fairness, Conte said we have a world class stadium and training facility.

But the majority of his reign has seen him criticise the players after nearly every defeat, criticise the board (rightfully) despite them backing him more than any other manager in recent history, and even criticise the fans.

Calls for fans to be patient after every defeat and begs for stability when he is the one causing the biggest instability within the team. Refuses to discuss his future beyond this season then goes off on a love story about returning to Italy in the near future.

Yes, sounds like he adores the club.

I think Conte has put everything in to making us successful during his time here, but it just hasn’t worked out this season.

He did a great job last season. Right now though he’s a defeated man, regardless of his unfortunate health issues.

so why would poch come back if he knows levy and what levys like, is poch foolish to think Levy will change ? or is he just happy to have a job back in the PL?
They are still very close mate. I know what you mean though, and who knows what Levy would be telling him privately if he did come back. Perhaps he feels the level of spending we are currently at is enough to get what he needs. Conte is clearly a very different type of coach who needs more in the way of resources, but with that all but guarantee's trophies. Poch is more of your buy young with high potential and I'll make them better but might always fall short type.

As I keep saying I've never been against replacing Conte, but only if we have a solid plan in place to move forward if we do. If the plan is bring Poch in just because he'll get more out of this lot then it's not good enough and a complete waste of another 2 seasons. After seeing the last few years unfold I very much expect this to be the case.

I'd agree but only if we have the next guy lined up ready to go now, and we are intending to build with him and have a plan of how to do so. I know it's not been great of late, but at the same time I do not want us to be pinning our remaining season hopes on Ryan Mason again. That's not a slight on Mason btw, it's just too soon for him.
Yep fine to let Conte go for many reasons, for his own health maybe more than anything but there needs to be a coherent plan in place it can't just be relying on Mason again. If Poch is available and keen to come back with the right support around him then lets get that done asap and start planning for summer, but as usual I can see us ending up half way or towards the end of summer with no manager and no plan as to how to revamp the squad, starting the season slowly and in a mess, because under Levy that is how it works.

I do feel we have a lot of players that Poch could work with and improve - Bissouma, Reggy, Spence, springing immediately to mind with Udogwie arriving during summer.

Only concern I have is Will Kane stay if Conte goes? We do have Richarlison now, but would be preferable to have Kane as well.

I think it’s a forgone conclusion that Kane will be leaving in the summer. He has beaten the record here and could easily beat shearer’s record at United. I think we will see a repeat of the City debacle in the summer.

I mean we’re allowed to chose to not engage in stupidity, something you seem to be very proficient in.
But that's it you just ignore it and keep it moving. When you see homeless people on the street do you blur them out so you don't see them to make your self feel better ?

This is the issue we currently have in the world people would rather run to their safe space than have a discussion, people need to strengthen their mindset.

@Trix do you want Poch back?

Am I missing something here? Conte rushed back one week after surgery when he should have rested for two or three weeks at least. His Doctors have now thrown the book at him and he's reluctantly agreed to actually listen to the medical advice. But surely there is nothing here to suggest that he won't be back in a matter of weeks and bang up for the rest of the season?

It's just wishful thinking from those who want him gone now. Unless he's sacked, he'll be back before the end of the season.

A discussion is one thing, but when someone is clearly being childish and trying to derail the thread with troll comments it’s the furthest thing from it.

You seem to be one of those types, the internet bully who wets himself in person. So let’s rather leave this where it is now.

Has Levy got anybody other than Poch to go to?

Especially after pissing off half the coaches in world football searching for Jose's replacement.
I think only people in frame (that aren’t at other clubs) would be Tuchel, Poch, Benitez, Zidane, Bielsa and Hassenhutl.
Of those 2 obviously stand out, but one would be accepted by majority.
I think he will be managed out now, Sat at home on full pay and health can be used by both parties for damage limitation. Stellini or Mason seeing it out for season, unless Poch says he wants to come in now rather than the summer

I think Poch would have been more than happy with the financial backing Conte has had.
Spot on. Poch was a terrible talent identifier but a brilliant, brilliant coach. Sarr and Spence would’ve excelled under Poch this season.

Poch, allied with financial backing and a good recruitment team, would be a huge success. I’m sure of it.

Calling out nonsense like “Conte loves the club” is not “troll comments.”

Think this is the beginning of the end. Someone needs to have a serious word with Conte and tell him that for his own personal welfare and those nearest and dearest to him he needs a long break and to enjoy life. As to whether we have a decent plan in place for this situation I have very serious doubts….
