The next 2 weeks are pivotal if you ask me.
Yeah it feels like the next 2 weeks could potentially define the next few years of Spurs.

Between potential transfers, the Conte situation and the QSI stuff, there are a lot of different paths we could go down:

- back Conte and spend big(ish) on Porro, Zaniolo, etc.
- sack Conte and bring in Poch/another
- half-arse it in the market and limp on until Conte quits in the summer

All 3 would take us in very different directions but with the market closing soon we need to pick a lane and pick it fast.

I am fine blaming Conte where it is due but all the faults, all the issues repeat with manager after manager, this would happen with Klopp, Pep etc.

The club is going in circles, we get a manager, we don’t back him to what he needs, sack him, get a new one with a squad that doesn’t fit, square pegs, round holes on repeat. It’s like Groundhog Day running for about a decade now.

If the fanbase is united against the board for at least a period of time we can at least make it uncomfortable and force some concessions however minor or better make ENIC sell up. We won’t get anything for being passive in this situation.

If Conte goes and Poch comes in fine, it happens. I would like the next move after that to be a sale or Levy handing over or something that will change the club for the better. The manager changes are limited in what they can achieve at this point.

Thats just it. I think the fanbase is largly united against the board. Now the question is what do individuals do about it? It needs to be sustained and organised if its letting feelings known at the ground.

FWIW ENIC have had about £40 off me in the last 5 years. I've put my money where my mouth is.

While the PR blitz is happening, this time does feel distinctly different. Many of those who previously supported Levy for his business acumen are turning on him despite his business acumen.

Has to be either of the first two options IMO.
But if we do back Conte, he needs to commit as well.
Keeping a manager with his future up in the air is probably never a recipe for success..

Wonder if the clubs PR department are lining their ducks up in a row here;

- Conte sacked after the second City game 5th Feb
- Announce Poch back - cue all the social media overload of "he's magic" etc.
- Announce record turnover in June 2022 accounts and a statement from Levy suggesting how we are ready to compete on a greater financial footing

All of which to seemingly appease a disenfranchised fanbase and apply sleight of hand away from the root cause of our woes on the pitch.

Feel so bad saying this but I have a feeling you could be right
Only a matter of time to kulu, Romero and Bentacur join Conte, Fab, Kane, Sonny out of the door.
Yet Levy and ENIC will still be here and some fans will still be licking Levy's balls.
I dunno about kulu, bent, etc, they all have long contracts, i was talking about those on loan plus the sh/te we still have in the matchday squad. Just let the away fans turn up each home game, would love to see levys reaction.

I do feel part of that was scope. Before the stadium and the facilities where not built so there was a good reason for Levy to remain to finish and complete the job as well as the debt financing. That is his strong suit, there is not much scope for off pitch growth now, it’s all about the football. Well Levy has little idea on that, the cost/benefit no longer works with ENIC. The model is outdated.

Imagine the working conditions in this mad club. The players are not immune to the impacts of this politicking. It is all entirely self-defeating; the club lose one way or another because of a lack of strategic thinking.

Of course it's enic PR

This paragraph proves it for me

"He would need to compromise on some transfer targets but should also accept that he is at a top club, with a talented squad and unrivalled infrastructure, where success is possible without consistently outspending rivals"
You don't need to be sherlock Holmes now do you.

Really good chance this is over by Thursday if City smash us. Most likely is Monday at Fulham if that goes wrong too.

All this noise feels like when Poch went. If I remember rightly it was a similar Dan KP article which fired the starting pistol then too. Fucking bleak times.
Id honestly be surprised if it went down before the window shut. If we bring in Poch before the window closes Levy might actually have to make some transfers

You are frustrated that most threads are full of moaning about enic/levy
Not all of us are able to get to the stadium for games anymore to vent our frustration in person

Where else should I moan about levy and enic?

Mumsnet?

And ofc declaring that he himself has gotten a salary raise from all the good work he has accomplished. Bald vampire midget.

That timeline feels like about the only way the club could get away with not spending any money on players this window too.

"We felt it was in the best long term interests of the club not to invest further in the playing squad in the January window, a notoriously difficult market, once it became clear Antonio was not going to remain at the club."

Could someone else please tell us that its all pointless regardless of the manager. All so depressing. :(

FFS we all know Levy is a problem. We don't need every 2nd post to state it. Fact is we are stuck with him whether we like it or not, so either get behind the manager and team, present and future or fuck Spurs off out of your life. Constantly moaning about Levy is going to change nothing. THAT is what is pointless.
Sorry Tucky but I can't get on board with this :D

We moan about Kane, we moan about Loris and we've moaned about so many players and managers on SC that they cannot possible be counted. That isn't getting behind the team, that's what we do. Have moan will travel, it's almost a pro activity on here and i'd agree there's far too much of it or maybe better to say it goes too far :D

But shortstuff is up there in his club booster seat to be shot at and while any complaints on here aren't really going to make any difference to things, you can hardly expect people to keep quiet any more, it's the number one gripe (finally) with almost everyone now. And it's pretty unfair to advise anyone to fuck Spurs off out of their lives for doing that when it's widely seen as the most positive thing for the club, the rest of the stuff, next manager, who we should sign and all that, that is the stuff that's pointless until he's gone.

I reckon a lot of us are fed up with the constant negativity but at the end of the day It all just reflects how people feel.

EDIT: Oh and I just realised we're in the Conte thread, my bad

Don't think our fan base is the type that will protest in the way that Utd, Newcastle and Everton have. Wonder how Levy would feel if he was advised to stay away on game day for safety and security reasons (I am not advocating that level of threat)?

Anybody would think we're hovering above the relegation zone.

The hyperbolic response to a sticky run of form is frankly laughable.

Probably the only thing that would make him get the message.
