I'm sure part of it is that he wants to get one over on Mourinho - "I fixed Tottenham when nobody else could".My respect for him gone through the roof. The fact that a manager with his reputation and record wants to take on the challenge of making us winners in a league with Guardiola, Klopp, Tuchel to go against. Conte you mad bastard!
Agree somewhat but you’re missing the whole picture. We’re sorted in goal. Full backs are great but we have no backup players right now for either. We’re likely going to need 3 x CBs for Conte system and at the moment we have at most 2 good ones and perhaps 2 backups. Realistically we’re 1 first choice CB and 1 backup CB and backup Full backs short.I really don't think our defence is as bad as some people believe. Our tactics were abysmal and and didn't didn't matters.
We've got one of the top 3 keepers in the league, along with with Contes coaching I think we'll see our FBs improve and Romero looks great so far. Whoever partners him whether it's Dier or Sanchez, both have had good games so far this season.
The article wrote for why United should manage him is absolutely fantastic.Spent evening reading what I could about Conte and putting links to best pieces below.

Absolutely buzzing and looking forward to Thursday's match. The atmosphere is going to be completely different than it would have been under whatsisname principally because so many wouldn't have bothered going.
Massive moments ahead for the squad. All of our players have it within them to be very good PL players. No exceptions. All of them. What do you have to do to get the best out of them? Coach them, push them to their limits, get on their cases, give them information, do not allow them to give you less than 100%. They have to buy in unconditionally for it to bear fruit, they have to have no doubts that this guy knows what he is doing or what he is talking about. They have to believe that a full buy-in will elevate their level and bring out their full potential. Nobody at the club will have any doubts that Conte knows his stuff and if their attitude is anything other than that then they will not be here very long and will not play. There are plenty of hungry youngsters at the club who will be busting a gut to catch Conte's eye and will run through brick walls for him. It's time to step the naff up or naff off. The players will be deciding their own futures in the coming weeks and months and that in itself is exciting before you even get into the potential signings Conte and Paratici can get into lillywhite shirts in the next transfer windows.
Completely agree mate. Really does show how unbelievable this appointment is for us, how the fuck have we managed to appoint him?!The article wrote for why United should manage him is absolutely fantastic.
Why is he third best, I would put him joint first with pep and Klopp.Completely agree mate. Really does show how unbelievable this appointment is for us, how the fuck have we managed to appoint him?!
I get that it might not work out for whatever reason but the fact a manager of his standing and ability, imo 3rd best in world, is willing to come to us is incredible.
I probably took the Poch era for granted a little when we were going through it, I didn't appreciate enough going to watch a match & being very confident that not only would we win but also doing it playing great football. I won't make the same mistake here, I will he drinking it all in.
And who, may I ask, told City the offer would be accepted? So if City had made a proper bid for Kane and got Kane, they wouldn’t have gone for Ronaldo
If City hadn’t gone for Ronaldo, Man U wouldn’t have gone for Ronaldo
If Ronaldo hadn’t gone to Man U, they would have about 6 fewer points and would be on the brink of CL elimination at the group stages again.
If Man U had 6 fewer points and were about to get dumped out of the CL, OGS would have been sacked
If OGS had been sacked, Man U would have gone for and got Conte
If Conte had gone to Man U, we would be left with Fonseca and we wouldn’t be so excited for the rest of the season.
So thanks Man City for your derisory piss tame bid of £75 for Harry Kane.
Conte is in his prime and hasn't failed with any of his clubs. I guess Ancelotti wasn't at fault that Bayern divas didn't like his training methods, same thing happened to Kovac and Napoli president is crazy but he isn't in his prime anymore, bit like Jose. Conte's training methods are next level and his teams are feared, we could start Bergwijn as sole striker and teams won't come here expecting a win.I'm quite excited - but there are three words that scare me:
Ancelotti at Everton
Please convince me that was totally different and can't happen to us
Sorry fella, must have been my big fingers!Agree happy we reacted after 10 PL games. Seems like we have learned some from the Mourinho-show.
@Metalhead how's that a WTF?

I know, it really is a testament to Conte mentality that he believes he can succeed at spurs. There's no doubt in my mind that if he achieves what I assume he is aiming to achieve at Spurs then he will be clear as the best in the world for me. I think the powers that be have done a tremendous job at getting themselves out of a hole with this one.Completely agree mate.
