No other serious club has these CB options. None.

changing managers just opens up these same convos in a years time. People need to learn from this now, it's happened a few times

Conte should be demanding CB’s behind the scenes, or he’s just as much to blame if he chooses to accept what he has.

jose did that. He asked for skriniar and they gave him Rodon. Conte wanted bastoni and got Lenglet on loan.

I'm not blaming any manager until they give them proper players and not jokers like tanganga.

I wouldn’t blame Conte at all if he walked. About time a manager does that before they get ‘sacked’.

Maybe then people will realise who’s to blame, when a manager shows some backbone & calls out the owners.

Or he wants to go in the summer and so he’s starting to not give a shit,
I think so too, though I don't see where he'll go, big clubs are not hiring this type of managers anymore. And I don't think it's a problem for us either if things don't improve, there are a few great managers available. The biggest problem is H leaving for good.

The system is what it is, but there were poor decisions throughout the game by multiple players which hinder us.

Our midfielders both played others in to trouble at times today with passes into players that were far too tightly marked to even win it. There were times when Son would spin in behind when he needed to drop short. There are also a lot of players trying to occupy the same space and getting in eachothers way. A lot of them can't identify where the space is and just go where they have been told to, even if someone is already there.

My biggest complaint though is that we would be a much improved team if we had a player like Modric or Verratti in that midfield two. There were a number of times today where Hojbjerg and Bissouma could easily have turned on the ball and instead just bounced it back. We could bypass that first line of pressure and be committing one of their midfielders with just a little bit of quality in those situations.

With the spending we are seeing other clubs do, I am beginning to worry that Conte is simply at the wrong club.

Not that he needs to spend tons or have the best squad to win but at the moment you've got Arsenal improving and having a balanced squad, United are going to get better of Ten Hag gets the players he wants, City are City, Liverpool will be a force again if they get Bellingham and Fernandez, Newcastle rising, Chelsea look like they'll spend til they get it right.

In contrast, we have owners who aren't prepared to go the full length with a winner and have already put noises out that spending will be restricted. We've seen it before to know it's true.

I'm genuinely worried we get to the summer and Conte decides that he can't achieve what he wants here, especially when he sees what the others are capable of.

Would you stick around? Having big ambition and Knowing that your peers can outspend you, whilst your bosses are reluctant to really give you the tools you need or are trying to present weaker alternatives or asking you to make compromises

This defence isn’t worse than every team it plays against. It’s not going behind 9 games in a row bad.

Just tired of how we play and how we’re expected to beg him for more of it. Either he wants to be here or he doesn’t, can’t say I’m hugely arsed either way rn.

Surely whilst all other teams are making moves we don’t sit still, recorded breaking revenues, we need to back the manager!!!

Arteta been at arsenal for 3 years and has changed 9 first team players. Conte has been with us for 1 year. He needs the time to change the dross we have

I'm reading conte likes dier

Is he a fuckking moron?

I dont enjoy how we play. I dont enjoy his comments.

Only thing i SHOULD be enjoying is that conte is our manager. ffs. Whats the point??

If he really likes dier then we are doomed

Do you actually think he likes Dier? He's won multiples titles with great defenders. He's not blind.

Would not be surprised at all to be honest and almost half expecting it. If we don't do much in January, will be interesting to see what Conte comes out with. If there are no moans or he just looks to get on with it, highly suspect it's probably because he knows he is leaving in the summer (maybe something already lined up) so ultimately doesn't really care too much about incomings. If he does leave, would not be surprised if he'll have something lined up and it will all be pretty amicable. If that is the case, no doubt Levy will have told Poch to sit tight until the summer.

We don’t have a dross squad. It has weaknesses but it’s absolutely miles better than what Arteta inherited at Arsenal. Plus it can reasonably be argued that some of the weaknesses in our squad are a result of Conte and Paratici’s weird selections in the market.

We have a squad lacking in options and no depth. It's literally what Conte said early on in his tenure.

We need to back a serial winner in Conte, and get rid of the average players we have in our squad.

If we lose Conte, a lot of our supporters will regret it in the years of mediocrity that follows.
I don’t get why so many are “stochholm-syndroming conte” (yeah i just made that word up)

why should we just let him burn millions away when he’s not committed himself?

he’s been here for more than a year now, and people should seriously see what he is delivering- and not his reputation.

if he had committed himself more, then I would agree about he needs to be backed- but when he’s got 6 months left on a contract- is it really right to splash the cash for him?

he has many good qualities, but he’s also very narrow minded in what players he deems good. He doesn’t rate raw football talent, but mere athletes who works hard.

and how long have we spoken about a plan b in managers in Spurs? Conte clearly doesn’t do plan B’s.

Substitutions also way to late, that all other opposition have a huge advantage over us after the 5 subs rule.

I was all on the Conte train- but this shit he’s serving now can’t just be the players.

football, and specially the PL has developed, and Conte is just to stubborn to change.

Since Contes first match v vitesse the only starting players that have been replaced are skipp for Bentancur, Reguilon for Perisic, Lucas for Kulusevski

3 clear upgrades but not enough. We really need 3 more upgrades for Jan. RWB, CCB, LCB

Can we please stop talking about mentality. We have most points won from losing positions - mentality is no issue. In terms of playing through pressure I agree we struggle but that is moreso due to quality. Jose was fundamentally flawed as a coach relative to the likes of Klopp Pep etc when he joined us. He's not very a good manager anymore. Conte is a much better manager, our buildup is good (in terms of structure) our low block is a lot better and our attacking structure in the final third is good. However we do not control the game enough at even game states. Under Jose we could not turn around defecits like you said because our settled possession patterns in the opponents half were non existent, so even if we had the ball when opponents sat deep late in games we couldn't create anything. With Conte it feels different because the structure is good so we actually create when we have the ball. However at the moment we only have lots of the ball when we are chasing the game - thus we only look good whilst chasing. The solution is for us to have more possession in all stages of the match and whilst this would be aided by technically superior defenders and wing backs it would also be aided by us pressing high more often and forcing turnovers. If the latter doesn't happen the unfortunate truth is that we will never be able to compete with City and even new gen Arsenal regardless of personnel.

Spot on , same old same old, go for the cheaper option then wonder why we don’t move forward.
As long as the turnover is up we’re good.

How many teams we've played this season, most of whom have outplayed us for 60 minutes plus, have lined up with a better 11 talent wise than us?

I'm fine with Conte not winning the league. But the defence of the way we are constantly outplayed by teams we have comprehensively outspent is baffling.

I hate the football we're playing. Its turgid, repetitive and predictable. We only start to play when there's thirty minutes left and Conte's got no choice but to free things up a bit. Once we push up and players start to improvise we look a different animal. I feel like I've sat there for the last four years watching the other sides best players showing off their ability and our best players scratching at barely half-chances. Its pure, unadulterated sh*t and I'm tired of it. I just want to watch Spurs and enjoy it. Its what I was raised on.
