I can’t see Conte sticking around. We don’t do business like the other top clubs, which means no instant success. Top 4 is not good enough for someone likes contes stature. He wants to win, and we are not winners because we don’t spend like winners.
Thing is, Conte has a pretty small pool of clubs to choose from.

Most of the mega clubs simply wont accept Conteball and/or a forthright manager who is very specific about what he wants and puts up with no shit. At clubs like Bayern, Madrid, PSG and Barca you can't not at least aspire to completely dominate the ball and play a possession style, while even teams like United, who were in a complete mess, had misgivings about his style of football and management. They were a disaster last season and they still didn't go for Conte on a point of principle.

He's already got tons of baggage at Inter, Juve and Chelsea and beyond that there are hardly any bigger clubs than Spurs left and certainly none that could offer him the type of control, funding and facilities than we can.

AC Milan - doing well and no sign of changing manager
Roma - maybe an option after the Jose-revolution dies out?
Atletico Madrid - big club and he'd be a good fit if they move on from Simeone...but that's a big if

Those are the only 3 I can think of that make any sense and they're all a massive long shot. Is Conte seriously going to walk away from Spurs after 18 months of hard work and squad building to start from scratch at another club that's in a similar place in the pecking order to us?

Can't see it.

I think he's very likely to sign on unless we completely fuck him over somehow which clearly hasn't been the case so far.

We came 4th last year despite Romero only playing 1/2 and Bentancur and Kulusevski only playing 1/3 of a season (and Kane only fully motivated and fit from December onwards). This year we have them and Bissouma, Perisic, Lenglet and Richarlison all season. Plus Kane is already on 4 goals and we’re only in the first week of September! We’re unbeaten in 12 PL games, only lost once in 17, and are significantly up on corresponding fixtures last season, and we’re not into our stride yet. I think we will compete for trophies this year.

He'd be a perfect for for Atletico. He'd win the league there.

But yeah, when will Simeone walk away?

I think he’s bought into the project, Inter weren’t winners in his first season, they came 2nd, then won the following season, he’s at a different part of his career now and he doesn’t have too many other clubs he could go to, our squad isn’t too far off being able to really compete tbh.

He’s said before spending big money doesn’t guarantee success but we have to spend wisely and not make mistakes in the market.

I think with the squad we now have he could get us 2nd in the league and win a trophy and then with good additions in January and next summer the following season he’d have a squad strong enough to challenge for everything, he gets on with Paratici, he’s building a squad in his image, family are settled, amazing facilities to work with, chance to win with a team that usually doesn’t recently, what a challenge it is for him to try to get us to win ahead of ‘giants/monsters’ with little old tottenham.

Would be one hell of an ego boost if he could.

If we keep investing as we have done last Jan and this summer and upgrade RWB CB CM and AM, I think he’ll have everything he needs to compete.

He will see out his contract of course, but I just don’t see him extending that’s all. Unless we win a serious trophy than it’s possible. He’s a winner and will not will not settle for top 4.

Why is that important right now?

So much positive stuff to talk about him.How he performs from the touch, line like a conductor directing an orchestra to hit those sublime notes.
However some folk just want to have a moan!

He’s not leaving this PL for La Liga at the moment. The PL is the hardest league in the world and seemingly getting harder every season. To duck away from that challenge is pretty weak minded and Conte isn’t that. I think the only way he leaves us is when the players have enough of his ways and down tools and get him the sack. It’s pretty obvious he loves his job here with us.

Atletico have even less money to spend than us, they’re broke.

So I doubt Conte would be interested in going there.

That Conte getting us 3rd level points with City and only having one team with more (for now). What a ****.
