Fuck, Son was atrocious when he came on!!

We were all over them for a lot of the part however in my opinion, a draw seems a fair result based on their 2nd half performance.

Kane made some poor mistakes towards the end but nevertheless, 1 point at Everton under tricky circumstances shouldn't be frowned upon!

So least defeats in 20 years.

oh balls. They had 1 attack in the first half and we had 65% of the ball. Youve gotta make that count and go in 2 up.
Oh, so you were talking about the first half of the game? Yeah, we dominated the first half. Everton were the better team the 2nd half.

Carroll's best game for Spurs today but he's very limited physically. I think he's got the skills to have a good career but I don't think it will be in the PL with us.
Think he'd do well in Spain or Italy, where you get more time on the ball as a midfielder. Physicality of the PL doesn't suit him unfortunately.

Can't believe people are slagging of Carroll. He played a fantastic game, bar one or two passes. He had good energy, stood his ground on defense, and picked out some fabulous passes going forward.

We had our chances today - nobody really to blame for anything. We were a bit knackered in the end, but if the two balls off the post/bar go in, we win this going away. Nothing to hang our heads over.

after the 1st half was gutted we wasn't cruising to 3pts, in the end glad we came away with an important point

Well we didn't dominate the game so...
We dominated them completely in the first half and the second half was a relatively even contest. Should've been 3 points after the first half but that's football

Kane could barely walk, let alone run last 15, def need someone to come in and take the pressure off him, poor fucker.

The fact people can still defend Carroll after years of proving he is not a top level player highlights the sum of intelligence on football forums.

Its embarrassing.

What exactly do you see?

Any one of 98% of Pl midfielders could have high pass completion if they only passed it backwards. Blinded.

Im out.

Carroll played well today, simple as that.

Anyone who's suggesting he was poor or labelling him as 'the problem' just don't have a clue I'm afraid. Fuck all point in engaging with them either.

We ought to give a bit of credit to Martinez for sorting out Everton's performance at half time. They started to press and they stopped giving the ball away. They also defended throughout with great solidity, except for when Alli got the wrong side of them.

That said, the key moments in this match were the times we hit the woodwork. If we had gone in at half time ahead, especially if it were 3-1, the second half would have been pursued differently and a lot of the problems either would not have materialised or would not have mattered, because our formation, substitutions and priorities would have been different.

I'm not too upset with an away point against a good side who have been underperforming and were never going to let themselves lose three home matches in a row. It's just unfortunate that we couldn't turn our first half domination into the 3 goals it deserved.

Have to agree, whatever Martinez said in the locker room at the half clearly worked. I thought things would work in our favor after them having to deal with going in having just conceded, but they came out looking much improved.

Would that speech have worked had they been down due to that goal after one of the woodwork shots had gone in? No one will ever know, but it certainly would have been less likely.

Agreed, can't ever be upset with a point away at Everton. With how things went there at the end, I'm finding myself relieved we came away with anything tbh. We couldn't hold the ball in their half whatsoever, and Lukaku really should have done better on that breakaway on his strong foot.

I'm ashamed to call myself a spurs fan reading the comments on Carroll. He could have scored a hatrick and, had we lost 4-3, you'd blame him. Disgusting attitude towards one of our players, who played well and was the MAIN reason we bossed the first half. He did everything right. To read some of the comments here make me weep. You're utterlly underserving of this side and whatever happiness they bring you. Nasty, petty and, worst of all, ungrateful.

Sure, but I'd say Everton were the better side in the 2nd half. We didn't dominate the game, that was my point and it remains true since we only dominated the 1st half.

I get the feeling all this talk about the title is getting into people's heads. The media is partly to blame for that. We're (the fans) starting to believe in our own hype and that's not a good thing- I hope the players stay grounded. If we start thinking the title is somehow what we should be achieving, then this forum is going to be annoying as fuck.

Those you slating Tom Carroll should be ashamed of yourselves. Seems Souness and Carragher though he was outstanding today, and I agree with them. This is coming from someone who said he was lightweight and should not of started. Well done TC.

It's something most players need games to get used to. Which is why he's getting plenty of minutes.

I think he's right in the mix.

Sky just said he made the most passes on the pitch

There we go again, scapegoating a player regardless of how they played, Lamela used to get it and now it's Carroll - Fucking ridiculous.
The most backwards/sideways passing. Having said that I think he played quite well up until the last 20 minutes where he looked completely worn out and should have probably been replaced.

All evens itself out. Could argue our goal last week was offside
