Quite a few of the best teams went out in that round - Ajax, Napoli, Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Lyon and Borussia Mochengladbach. I reckon we have a great chance of winning it if we get through Inter and into the quarterfinals. Besides Inter, I would say Chelsea and Lazio are probably the toughest teams left for us in the competition. Real chance of winning it imo.

Chelsea, Inter, Lazio, and us. Considering the teams that were in this round, I didn't think there were really any clear favorites until today. Worried about Chelsea the most tbh, but boy would I love a chance to knock them out of the EL. Anything can happen in these kinds of tournaments, I hope we progress further as I think it will instill a sense of pride and desire to win that the best teams need to have and hopefully will carry over to our PL form.

Whilst I'd love us to win EL, the fixtures come thick and fast now. Next 5 are massive and that's before the April run of Shitty, Everton and Chelsea.

I would love to win it and am really looking forward to Inter round II but sorry getting 4th is still top priority in terms of attracting and keeping players and £20m ++ to play with.

If this gives a boost in the league then great but if we drop points before or after big games or get to to the final and still need to win our last 2 games and don't (3 days before and after) then expect to be reminded of this conversation too !

Obviously either would make this a successful season, but if, in some weird hypothetical world, I had to choose one, I'd chose the Europa League by a country mile.

For some reason, I've felt like this was our comp to win since we entered. It was clear AVB was going to take this cup seriously, certainly over the FA & League Cup.

I said at the beginning of the season a successful season would be a top 6 finish - even better if we can throw a cup win in.
If we finished in the top four and won the EL, or even got the final, I'd be over the fecking moon.

Tis exciting.

And I'm sacrificing myself for the cause too. I've yet to watch a Europe Game (only game was when we didn't win), so I don't want to jinx it and watch.

Problem is now, I really, really want to watch the inter game :-(

I think the comp is bubbling up nicely. We've yet to hit any kind of sustained form in it yet are progressing. The home game v Lyon was a good performance and part of last night so the wheels are starting to turn. It reminds me of a Man Utd CL campaign, they squeak through games in the earlier stages and get better. Hopefully this will be the kick up the arse that Dembele needed to get back to his previous form. If Parker could be reminded how to place a simple pass and Adebayor have the net pointed out to him again we'll be a force to be reckoned with

If we play like yesterday we will go out against stronger teams. There are some tough teams still around. But for sure we have a chance as well. It would be amazing to go to Amsterdam with 20 000 Spurs fans and win a cup. A real dream! But Inter Milan will be very very difficult, because it seems they take it very srsly.
