Am I missing something in this article. It seems to be missing the whole interview. I read the original where it does not rule out remaining at Spurs. That we just have to pay him what he wants.

This one is about what his agent is saying, not Eriksen himself. Interesting that of the 3 clubs in for him last summer only one was a foreign club.

I thought he had left 6 months ago in his own mind because apart from a free kick against Everton in the last game of the season he was anonymous in most of the matches.
Corners =rubbish
Free kicks =rubbish (note Madsison 4 goals in five games from free kicks) approx
Tackling = non existent
Running about = outstanding

You'll miss him once he's gone.

Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots told Standard Sport: “Last season there were three clubs, two English and one foreign, interested in paying a huge amount to Spurs.

“For the club it was then a no-go area and for Christian not a must-have. I have the impression we are in a new situation now.”

That's about the most words you'll get in a shitty standard article.

Remarkable how a player can build a reputation for scoring free kicks and then goes 3 seasons with one PL free kick goal and one Champ Lge, and still keep taking them.
He will have to go as if he signs a new contract it will only be because a big club didn’t want him. Don’t want him doing us a favour.

When he's at the top of his game he's fantastic. He's a bit too inconsistent though and defensively he's rubbish. As long as we replace him with a player that can create for us I wish him well at his next club.

No we won't as long as we get a more imposing playmaker. He has been good for us but for me he has flattered to deceive for far too long and we have long needed an upgrade. Best for both parties if we can move him on with our thanks and best wishes.

It's a tricky one. Without him we look clueless and even with him underperforming, as soon as he gets the ball I still have a higher expectation of something good happening than if it goes to anyone else. That doesn't mean that we won't improve if we get the right players in when/if he goes though.

Kind of built up the same feeling towards him as I have for Alderweireld.

I've accepted he wants out and, for me, the sooner he's gone the better.

That's not a dig at him before people get their claws out. He's a cracking player, he's served us superbly BUT his performances have been lacking for a while and, like any other player on our books, no matter how good he is. If he doesn't want to be here, I'd rather he was shipped out so we can get someone who does.

If Eriksen is quoted to be worth £120M, what's an upgrade on Eriksen going to cost? His form has dipped since Dembele left us. He is a magnificent player, and you certainly will miss him once he's gone, trust me!

Eriksen beside Dembele made us tick. Without the space Dembele creates for him he's struggled

Sometimes we obsess too much about potential transfer fees when it is more about getting the right player at the right point in his career (a bit like we did with Eriksen). Salah cost £44m incl add ons, Maddison cost £24m incl add ons, Bernado Silva cost £44m - all of whom represent an upgrade on Eriksen in my book. There are quality players to be gotten at decent prices out there. We just need to snap them up before they become established names.

Maddison? Don't think so...
