The FA are willing to receive a fine for England captain Harry Kane wearing a 'One Love' armband at the World Cup in Qatar, according to reports.

Whilst not designed to reference anti-LGBTQ laws directly, England's armband will be worn in an effort to promote inclusivity within a country that outlaws same sex relationships.

why don't we just concentrate on the Football,
instead of trying to piss off the host country
It's not about 'pissing off' Qatar. They wanted to host a global event to showcase their country. Fine, to a greater or lesser extent that's what all host countries want to do. But they are egregious abusers of human rights and we should applaud attempts to call that out.

Ultimately we'd like them to change their stance and clean up their act, then we can all enjoy the next event they host knowing people aren't being routinely abused in the process.

Seems like you're not aware of the general feelings towards Man City and Newcastle. The only people who are 'proud' of them are their own supporters, and not even all of them.

makes me proud that our captain is prepared to stand up for a principle, rather than selling out like David 'Man of the People' Beckham!
