A complete fallacy. He can't head the ball-he can't hold up the ball and his passing range is limited compared to Ade.

Yes if Ade is motivated, but he hasn't been all season so there is no reason to think that will change.

On this seasons form, soldado is more useful to us.

Not correct about his passing. Soldado is an excellent passer of the ball particularly when he receives it in wide positions. Adebayor has the habit, or use to when he played, of holding onto the ball for a fraction too long and then usually ended up passing for safety rather than as an attacking pass.

Don't understand the people that still talk about a 'motivated' Ade. We saw it when he was trying to win a lucrative contract and we saw it for about 3 months last year. We should get rid by whatever means possible, just get him off the books. Is it a surprise that our 'upturn' in form & morale has occurred since he has gone missing....

I disagree, but also agree

We saw the best of Ade when he had 2 managers (Redknapp & Sherwood) who admitted "I don't tell Adebayor what to do". Then, and only then, did we see an Adebayor than can be arsed. The other 2 managers (AVB & Poch) both have specific instructions & demands of their players, both have been on the receiving end of Adebayor leading a revolt against them. I'm sure it's just a coincidence ;)

I had a dream that we loaned him out to an A League club and announced a "partnership" with that club at the same time.

Worth a trip to the bookies?

Possibly nothing at all of interest here, but apparently the Mirror are saying:
  • Tottenham are hoping they can offload Emmanuel Adebayor during the transfer window – possibly to MLS.

Hopefully we can fuck him off to City's farm team, toronto, orlando or the like.

IF this is true, and IF the story yesterday about our supposed interest in Emmanuel Emineke is genuine, why don't we perhaps see if Fenerbahce would be interested in a swap deal? I'm sure they've enquired about him in the past, and I'm sure Ade and his ego would love Turkey (anyone remember thousands of supporters at a Turkish airport to welcome Darius Vassel? It was mental, so imagine what they'd be like for Adebayor  ) . His ego would bloody love that).

I thought it was madness when we took him in the first place. He's shown patches of usefulness, but only when the stars are fully aligned and he is the centre of the universe. Overall, for what it must have cost, I can only see him as a poor acquisition. Now that he is older, slower, less motivated than ever, and by some accounts one step away from being sectionable, He's now been ostracised by the 2nd manager at the same club for being a disruptive and negative influence (allegedly), and I think our chances of shifting him are nil tbh, but I'd love to be wrong.

The story comes from the Times, and they have a subscription based service so can't see the full story, but I think it does mention him being offered to Turkish clubs.

Is Levy trying to get a lifetime supply of Turkish coffee and Turkish delight into the bargain? To be honest he'd be a fool not to.

Read the Times this morning, its saying we're trying to find a buyer in the MLS for him.

Could be a shrewd move to be honest, with a high profile name in Gerrard on his way out there come the end of the season.

Reality is, he's a top quality player that suffers (or seems to) from not being the biggest fish in the pond. I can only see that he's got everything to gain from the MLS - sustained (if not better) wages, with a higher likelihood of finally winning something other than a Copa del Rey in his career.

Not to say we've got no chance of winning anything whilst he's here, but I can't see him fitting back in the squad effectively.

MLS would be a great move for him and I'm sure it would appeal in terms of financial packages on offer.

Given that he's only 30 as well, with most players well into their thirties heading out there, he'd be in a position to demand a big contract to.

He should look no further than Robbie Keane as a role model in that respect.

In a footballing terms, he's been more successful than Beckham in the MLS if you ask me.

Just seen some reports that we have been talking to Parma about taking him but couldn't agree on wages. Not sure on the actual source, it could be the Standard.

Regardless of it not being agreed at least there's communication between him and other teams.

That communication being:
Ade: You pay me same wage as Tottenham right?
Club: No, we pay you less
Ade: Okay, I stay at Tottenham
