Exactly, and if they know we're flush with Kane money theyll up their price, suppose that'll give Spurs an excuse not to sign the expensive option(s). Just sick of it all, we're ALWAYS left short, always fucking about, run by amateurs.
That's why you have to agree a fee for Kane without going public and official. Then sign the players with the money that's on the table. I guess that's how it typically works. We did it when we sold Bale.

Always found this thought process a little odd. Whether we officially agree a fee or not, it’s hardly a secret that Kane might be leaving Spurs.

Might be leaving is exactly that though hence why teams can't assume we will have the money and up their asking price. Until he's sold its not certain.

Yeah I don’t think that really matters, we aren’t getting these guys cheaper either way

Nobody knows why we have been dilly dallying on the deals - both in n out - so we can only speculate, BUT if we assume latest itk being right, Kane off and 2 CBs and one forward + all the snippets coming out from pre season

from a ange needs + current bursting squad + squad building perspective, 2 centre halves and a forward is more than enough considering our 25 member squad will likely look like 👇🏻

GK > Vicario + Forster
CB > Romero CB CB Dier Jafa
RB > Royal Porro (Djed*)
LB > Udogie Reggie Davies (Sess)
CM > Yves Bentacur GLC Sarr Skipp Maddison Devine (PEH*, Tanguy*)
Wingers > Son Deki Perisic Manor Gil
ST > Richie ST Scarlett

it is a squad (with Ange’s playing style) to be optimistic about
Not sure it is. 1 winger thst suits his system. Ab injury prone striker who’s never scored that many goals, a back up striker that was dropped by a league one team.

The point is they're not putting their price up because we haven't sold Kane. Yet if we get it set up so Kane will be sold then we pay the asking price knowing the Kane money will come in to cover it.

Very much starting to feel this sort transfer policy is going to bite us hard yet again. 🙁

If cabinessence is correct there is still no excuse for not pulling the trigger on one now and going back for the other once Kane is sold.

If you're Leverkusen or Wolfsburg and you see us get the best part of 100 million surely you then add at least another 10 million on the price?

Which is probably why you’d get things as advance as you could without completing them on all of those deals and then push the button as simultaneously as possible.

I’m not a “how have we not signed x-player by now” guy but not having a new 1st choice level CB in by now is amazing (and not the good kind).

Indeed, so much for the "game changer" stadium.
Out of interest how much do you think we'd be paying for players if we were still in the old White Hart Lane, more, less or the same as we are now? I'm not having a pop I just think we're missing the difference.
