JJ said this wasn't a go'er but his agent issued come and get me plea and now the Guardian says we have sniffed around..maybe this could be a back burner option?

I'm wondering what's going on at DM/CM - if we ship out Dier and Wanyama—which is entirely possible this window—that leaves Winks, Sissoko and Skipp (plus possibly Amos and Marsh?).

Bringing in Ndombele is a start, but surely we're after Lo Chelso more for an AM10 position meaning there could easily be another spot up for grabs in the centre of the pitch - possibly for a more defensively-minded player.

Dele and Eriksen can drop deeper, yet they're not DMs, so I do wonder what the plan is.

Every day I hope to see a Berge link, never happens. I do think it’s weird as there were tons of links to him in January.

It certainly feels like we need something else to happen in that area of the pitch - Berge would be perfect if the price is right.

I don't think we'll sell Dier and I doubt Wanyama would pass a medical. I can see some HG quota issues arising if we get Ndombele and LoCelso with the other players we're linked to. Foyth took Dembele's CL spot and we have released Vorm and I guess Wanyama gets sidelined but we're struggling if Eriksen and Toby stay and we bring anyone else in. I think we have to sign a RB but do we try to sell Trippier in which case we need a HG replacement. I'd rather keep Aurier but I guess we could upgrade. It's all very confusing.

I have a feeling that with Berge there will be a similar scenario to the one that involved Milinkovic-Savic or Koulibaly (same club by the way, RC Genk). They' went to European subtop clubs because they were too low-profile coming out of the Belgian league, only to be priced out of a move to the European top club the year(s) after because their clubs. If Berge keeps progressing under the right manager, he'll become a world-beater.

Matt Law keeps mentioning our interest in this guy. Think I have seen it in the Mirror as well. Now tier 1 sources in NL reports that Real has made an official approach. Ajax wants 50-60M euros.
