Lets hope we can keep him. I expect a queue of clubs will be knocking at the door come the summer.

He's not going anywhere. He's still young and he knows the best place to be for his continued improvement is our club. I expect to hear news, during the summer, of him signing an improved contract but I would be absolutely flabbergasted if he moved this summer. Just can't see it happening.

Of course we can keep him, we wouldn't sell to Arsenal or Chelsea, he's also seems like a smart guy, Man U have no direction or aura any more. He would probably end up wasting away on the bench at city. With us he's getting games and learning his trade.

Never estimate the confidence/arrogance of a footballer that thinks they'll walk into teams like that differently to all those that fell before them.

He'll leave. Cocky young fellow with a tinge of arrogance in him. Says he loves liverpool.

If a club comes up to him with big money i can bet my bottom dollar he'll ask to leave.

Pity.

As with all our best players it's up to the club to make them want to stay. We never hear stories about how Barca aren't offering Messi what he wants to fulfil his career. Alli, like Kane, Eriksen and Lloris has no reason to try for a move if we get in the Champions League. The problem with Bale, Modric and Berbatov was we weren't qualifying and they moved so they could get in. I think we'll make fourth this year; we've done that before only for Chelsea to win the cup and deny us - it's also possible that if all the English teams get knocked out early there will only be three places. We're in a great position, let's not blow it.

When or if he goes, it will be to a foreign club. That's if he wishes to improve himself as a footballer, because he will not learn more in the EPL than he will with Poch at Spurs.

Nightmare scenario 2012: 4th place finish, but no CL place due to unlikely Chelski CL win.

Possible nightmare scenario 2016: 4th place finish, but no CL place due to unlikely underpermance from other PL clubs…

With our luck we'd better finish 3rd this season, then!

I've seen this fact before, about him being a Liverpool fan, but they also came in for him but he turned them down, and was convinced we'd be a better fit for him.

"In the summer of 2014, he nearly moved from MK Dons to Liverpool, whose then manager, Brendan Rodgers, believed Alli might one day replace Steven Gerrard at the heart of the Anfield midfield.

Those closest to Alli decided it would be better for him to spend more time at Milton Keynes, where he made 88 appearances. When Alli chose Tottenham in January, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Sunderland were among the clubs showing a strong interest. Spurs won the race because of Mauricio Pochettino’s commitment to selecting young, English players — a policy that has enabled Alli to thrive.

The £5million Spurs paid Milton Keynes last January now looks a remarkable piece of business. Alli’s manager at that club, Karl Robinson, told Standard Sport: “When he was 17, I said he would play for England. He has a very poorly developed sense of fear. Yes he is talented and fearless but also very humble and grounded.

“When he chose to move to Spurs, he was totally dedicated to that decision. Spurs made him believe they were the right club for him. They had been following him for three-and-a-half years. I spoke to David Pleat [former Spurs boss who still scouts informally for the club] many times about him. I have had a few conversations with Dele since the move but he is not my player any more."

Agreed. Hopeful we get 3 or 4 seasons with him and a huge transfer fee at the end.
Best you can hope for these days

Delli Alli is possibly going to the absolute top of the tree- so let's enjoy him for now.
They're raving about him here in Germany - puts Tottenham on the radar.
There's not a manager anywhere that wouldn't take him now.
