Disagree, how can you assess that he is mentality fatigued? Were you getting your data on this
And physically I bet hes still covering as much miles as ever

Same place as you are getting yours mate. From observation.... Oh and the common and accepted knowledge that elite athletes especially in their younger years who do not get periods of recovery - both physically and Mentally - will see a reduction on performance parameters.

How much time off has Dele had on recent years, and how much pressure had been piled on him since his breakthrough? Any chance that this could play on to the equation?

Actually, come to think of it you are probably right. He's just off form....

Someone told me he has got a channel online where people watch him play fortnite, I don't know how true this is, but if it is, he needs to stop that and get concentrating back on his football again.

No TV, no music and no leaving his place after 8pm too?

Waste of a shirt at the moment he was a ghost that’s 3 in a row from him now and for me that’s enough chances he’s not fit or he’s not bothered

If it’s either or drop him

He always seems to teeter between brilliant and awful. There are very few "average" games from Dele. I've never liked the "he's better with instinct, he's not good when he has too much time" reasoning either, about any player. If you play in a top team, like we are, you can damn well expect to have more time on the ball and to be expected to make the right decisions with it, "instinct" players are reserved for relegation fodder.

Dele put one in for the team he was asked to play a role not suited to get the best out of his ability.

Eriksen needs to look more at his performance

Drop him for who exactly? We barely have any players left to choose from.

Can’t disagree that he’s been awful the last couple of games, but our squad simply isn’t good enough and we have too many sick notes.

He’s woefully out of form. Has been for most of the season.
At the moment the guy is bang average and very far from the best players in the league

Give over. Eriksen has saved our skins countless times this season. Wtf has Alli done? The guy is nowhere ever good enough and he couldn’t be any further from the player he was in 2015/16 if he tried

Hopefully the myth is about to end soon and Poch can take him out of the team and out of the squad. People thought Real or Barca would come in for him. Lol.

The guy literally does not do anything. I actually can’t think of another top side in the PL or Europe who routinely play and carry a player such as Alli.

If you watch Liverpool and City, every single player has a job and delivers something. Alli is just a passenger but I can’t blame Poch. He has no choice because the back up for Alli is non existent. I can’t believe a player can be so passive and look so disinterested in a CL semi final.

Really fucked off with his no show, yet again.

Dele, Eriksen, even Son at the weekend, all playing like league 1 players at times. That's fatigue, mental and physical.

Our team has had no rhythm and no confidence for most of the season. Players like Dele will never thrive in that scenario.

I don't think he's comfortable in cast either.

Probably needs to be dropped but there's nothing we can do, look at our bench today. I'd still play him at Ajax in the hope something clicks. He's been a big game player in the past.

Personally, I have never been a fan. Even when he burst on the scene and was scoring goals, I never really saw anything that impressed me with his all round game.

For me, the game bypasses him a lot. He has a poor first touch, shocking decision making and he technically isn’t great. He doesn’t seem to generate any power in his passing or shooting?

His biggest attribute was always his movement and timing arriving in the box to score a goal but even that has deserted him.

I’m also a bit fed up of all these flicks and tricks. They come off once every so often and people then rave about it. But the forget the countless times he gives away possession or stumbles over his own feet.

Too much ‘style’, too little substance. I couldn’t see Guardiola, Klopp or Mourinho wanting to work with him and for me, that says enough.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he is found on the bench more often than not next year so long as Poch gets some money to spend.

I think a lot of the team are suffering from a lack of competition for places, to be honest. The likes of Alli, Eriksen, Dier, Trippier etc have become complacent and need to be pushed. At the moment they're guaranteed to start every game purely because we rely on them too much.

Needs to get back to doing the basics, that's when he's at his best.

Sick and tired of all his fancy flicks, where only 1 in 10 actually work.

Oh but at his age compared to Lampard and Gerrard blah blah fucking blah....
**** off TD.:) You're neglecting to mention his hand preventing him from doing things with his feet. It's the hand, the broken hand. I would like to see you control a ball with your feet when you hand hurts.

Oh, and he's scored more goal than Lampard and Gerrard at his age and something something else apology. rolls-royce of a player (I would like you to ignore that RR's are overpriced, jalopies that breakdown all the time and are expensive mistakes for folks that can afford to make them). But still he's world-class. And once he gets his confidence back we will see it. He will then be able to control a ball within 4 touches, actually notice the proper pass that is on when it is on, track runners and be positionally disciplined, etc etc. Sure he never did those things even when he was confident but I'm sure we will see those qualities when his confidence returns. /s

he's playing with a broken hand that is yet to heal ffs
Please stop peddling this apologist bullshit. Harry Kane and many other play with broken fucking noses and are still challenging for headers and banging them in to win the Derby looking like Batman and having to breath from their mouths (in Harry's case that's sort of natural so perhaps he's not affected here). It's a specious argument. It sounds good to those reluctant to criticise Dele but it bullshit to the rest of us.
