???

Dip in form - SELL HIM! Maximize profits!

No. He stays.
I was trying to be sensible. There is a right time to sell players and a right time to buy players. Just wondering if now is the right time with Son as we will get top value for him. I will be happy to keep him but if he stays his value will now start going down quite sharply.

I wonder if this is appropriate now to Sonny ? Now is when we will get the greatest value for him.
Why would it? Do you think anyone at the club thought we should sell him in the summer after he'd just won the golden boot?

I've heard no reports that we received high offers for Alli at any point, so I'm not sure how some, not you, are accusing Levy of asking for too much for Alli.

We may have to move Sonny on at some point, but it’s a totally different situation to Dele. He’s model pro, who’s just coming off his best ever season. If anything, this injury may be a blessing as he’s played so much football in the last year.

I'm not seeing the comparison between Son and Dele. Son has admittedly had a pretty ropey three months, but won the golden boot last year and he still has all his pace. It's just not happened for him yet this year (a couple of performances excepted).

Dele had clearly lost not only his perfomance on the pitch, but off it too and that was very evident for at least two full years before we managed to sell him.

Unless Son wants out himself then we surely don't think of selling. He's a model pro, hugely popular within the club, and a great ambassador for us.

I didn't intend any comparison between Dele and Son other than trying to make a point that as a club we are not very good at spotting when is the right time to move a player on. We seem to leave it until they are not worth very much or they are entrenched in a lengthy contract and no one wants to pay what we want.

One of the match commentators in a recent Liverpool match said Salah has only scored 4 goals in the league this season, which is about par with Sonny, so it's not just Sonny whose suffering this season, his fellow Golden Boot winner from last season is too.

Yeah I can't argue against that as a general point.

Besiktas lost in the derby today against Galatasaray, probably the most important fixture of the year. Dele is an unused sub.

Former PL players who featured in the Besiktas side include Saiss, Redmond, Gedson, Tosun, Weghorst and N’Koudou.

Does he even play football by the time he is 30?

Still got some more years left in him, a couple in MLS then somewhere in the middle east.

If he isn't impressing for besiktas then God knows where he goes next. Could end up only being offered championship or going somewhere like the MLS.

It's such a shame given how many great memories Dele gave us. Maybe he should take a little break from the game and see if that helps improve his mood, it is definitely a relentless sport to be involved in.

Its probably the most dramatic fall from grace that i can think of. To think at one point there was talk of £100m bids for a player that had outscored Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard combined by the same age. I mean i get some players drop off a couple of levels but this is something else.
