Simple, if PSG come in, say we want Keylor Navas as part of the deal, they are the same age and knowing PSG they will probably give us 60m and KN,

If Lloris wants to go and as his contract is running down, this would make all the sense in the world. Yes we lose a great goalkeeper, but we get a chunk of cash and arguably a goalkeeper on a similar level.

Dean Henderson would be expensive and has only done well at a poor side, I would say that is a huge risk.

*In no way do I want Hugo to leave, I do not think Navas is better, but if we have to, this is the way to go about it.
Navas is the same age though so he's no solution really. Only way that could be an option would be on a 6 month loan if Hugo was desperate to leave right now which I can't see happening. Under no circumstances would I be letting him leave in this window though.

Only two ways to resolve this are to sell him for £20m or so in the summer or we kick the can down the road and let him leave on a free in 2022.

Great on the ball if we were to get a progressive coach in and can make exceptional saves but does have an error in him. Pope is the polar opposite with his distribution but generally a reliable keeper. Don't think there is the perfect keeper out there really though for our budget.

Every GK makes an errors, Onana is 4 years younger and is one of the best shotstoppers in last seasons of Champions League, replacing Lloris with him or Maignan when their contract expires in 2022 would be very smart move.

Yeah i'd take Onana for sure, i'm just saying I think the only perfect keepers out there at this point are unattainable. Haven't watched a great deal of Maignan so can't comment on him. We also need to decide if we want a keeper suited to Jose Mourinho or for future coaches that may come here and look to play in a different way. Under Jose, height, shot stopping and calmness are probably more important whereas under a different coach we might benefit from a keeper who's very comfortable with the ball at their feet and very quick off their line. Under Jose, I think Pope would be a great keeper but under Poch or Villas-Boas for example he wouldn't be as suited.

Is Lloris a poch/avb keeper or a jose keeper?

Formerly a Poch type keeper who probably due to his experience now is more of a Jose keeper nowadays. I'm not sure he comes off his line as much as he used to but perhaps that's just the tactics employed of late.

I think that part of the tactic is there to help him. He's not as quick anymore which puts him at risk of being caught out or picking up red cards tackling forwards.

I think Hugo should go if he wants to head back to France. But I don't think he does, to be honest. He's never shown any indication of it. Best of luck to him if he goes - Spurs legend - but we need him and he's playing great football.

Mind you, Henderson would be an outstanding replacement and I'd sacrifice a year of Lloris to get him across the line.

The only thing against that is that he has said 'my future is tied to Pochettino'. They were very close. But I do believe he will stay, I also believe that we need to by lining up a replacement soon anyway. I know Goalkeepers can often go until 40, but that still is the exception to the rule, more realistically he has a few seasons left in him.
