You can be pretty unhappy with him for pulling down the pants of the Oil Sheiks and trying to furiously suck them off as though they've actually achieved something, though.

There is nothing to respect or admire about Manchester City, nothing. He's simply jealous they didn't take him at the same time they came in for Walker, and now he's hoping Jose will.
Lol! How do you know no-one came in for him? How do you know he's simply jealous? No arguments from here about City or Chelsea or even Man U re financial BS. We know what's going on.

He said there were no updates on contract talks. "There is no news that i know of, so nothing... zero". We are in talks but haven't reached an agreement.
Subtle and diplomatic when good as done by all accounts.

But why has he come out with all this now?

Starting to think the sale of Walker and no signings was the tipping point.

I think it's far more likely that no signings is just the convenient excuse. What's far more telling, to me at least, are the comments about knowing what he's worth, etc.

As always in football, it's about money. Walker left, doubled his wages and I'm sure he - and his agent - are pointing this out on a very regular basis. We could be winning trophies left, right and center, but when someone comes along and offers 2x, 3x, whatever wages, they're going to consider it. Like he said himself, he has one big contract left in him....and we all know that Spurs isn't the place where you get those.

Had rose been fit this summer I'm sure we would have lost him as well, his comments are probably what a lot of people are thinking but he has gone public with it.
Hopefully he will be back in the team soon as a fit rose is an asset but it could be he is first out the door come the end of the season.

Shhhh! Don't let our players or their agents get a gander at comparative contracts and wages with our competitors. They all know though, and that just shows what a great job Poch has done. Won't last forever though.

I think it is obvious that his best mate Walker has been in his ear.
The timing is bad from Spurs point of view but Rose knows exactly what he is doing with the timing to maximise his opportunity and get the move and money he wants.
I don"t think we will sell him this season but should be planning a replacement for next summer.
Pochettino should now put the onus back on Rose to prove that he can get back to the player he was 8 months ago to maximise his worth to us.

I think we just need to accept this is what happens. We have only had one real class player stay with is until his late twenties and he was an injury prone homegrown player.

When a player gets to that peak age they will not accept potential anymore or the old in 2 years we will be........

They see the reality of it, Carrick, Modric, Bale, Berbatov, Walker and now possibly Rose.

The annoying thing is this could have been the year and fwiw I still think it will be, but we will do it the hard way that's for sure.

We could do with a big signing now more than ever and not for footballing reasons.
Anyway we shall see what transpires.

Like Walker , Rose faces competition. The assumption by many is that he will regain his place the minute he is fit. If we have a decent start to the season why will Davies get dropped, we have lost very few games with him in the side, his confidence is growing.

Danny needs to prove his fitness and his temperament before he resumes.

I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who's never been convinced he has 100% commitment to Spurs.,However you put it, coming out like that in a national newspaper makes him look like a prick.
Personally, I'd be glad to see the back of him.
Compare his attitude to Kane's. Makes me sick Rose is in a Spurs shirt.

He's earned around £1.5 million since he last played for us by all accounts.

If he wants to leave fine, go to the chairman with a transfer request don't slag the club and fans off in the papers just before the season starts.

We all knew walker wanted out but he never said anything like this, Rose has intentionally trying to stir up as much mess as possible for personal gain.

No need to say anything publicly the spoilt little prick, shows what he thinks of us

Danny boy could hardly get upset at losing his place in the team. After all, he wants us to spend all the money bringing in world class players. Bloody love it until the newbies start coming after their spots in the team.

Personally don't see that much wrong with what he has said. Yes I would obviouslly rather he keep it out of the press especially as we are just about to kick off the new season but I fully understand his frustration and, as others have said, he will not be the only one.

Fact is we've spent the last couple of years punching above our weight whilst the money in the game is going up and up and as long as our direct competition continue to chuck it about it will both turn heads here and make them more difficult to compete with on the pitch.

I understand that we have a stadium to pay for but these players have a short career and some of them, quite rightly, are ambitious both to earn cash and win trophies.

I also agree with people saying Rose owes a lot to the Manager but for him of all players to come out with these quotes - given how close we've been told they are - I just worry if Pochettino is not just as frustrated with the way the window has gone.

In short I am saying keep Rose no matter what and back the Manager with the 3-4 players he has said he wants, he deserves the investment as do the players.

If he is wanting to leave and on 70 grand a week he is having a struggle then hand in a transfer request. No he won't do that as it will affect his 'loyalty' payout.

He can rot on the bench and watch Davies earn his medals.

As this is a Rose thread. If you believe he is the only one then you/we are sadly mistaken.
Absolutely there is a good team spirit there which is evident but if people think that the a collective attitude will keep players at the club they are sadly mistaken, they want parity with others if not they look to leave which is the dilemma facing the club.
