Okay but what if he's good and Madrid decide that they want him back? I doubt levy would be anywhere near that stupid to agree to such a deal, but I don't want to see us lose Eriksen then lose one of his replacements the next season. Would rather Eriksen go for Ceballos + 45m and then out that towards lo Celso.

Hopefully there is an obligation to buy, or at least we get to be first choice. Dani may not want to go back, Zidane doesn't seem to rate him and he wants to play. If we do sign him, we'd have a year to convince him to sign with us. Levy doesn't do loans, so we all know he'd only ever do one if its in our favour.

With the rumours that we didnt want to loan Tielemans without an option to buy I think it would be weird by our club not to insist on an option to buy.

The difference being that Tielemans would have come half way through the year. Ceballos would have a pre-season and (arguably) be more attuned to how we intend to play

But I know what you mean

I would honestly be quite happy about this, especially if we have an option to buy. Sell Eriksen for a good 70-80M - buy Lo Celso and loan Ceballos, leaving us with the option to make it permanent next summer. I think Levy would enjoy this as well.

He had an unbelievable u21 World Cup. I’d love this move, loan with option to buy. Keep adding quality depth. (y)

I am pretty good at keeping up with the ITK but have we had any for Ceballos over the past couple of weeks?

I think he would be a clever signing, he has massive potential and a loan with an option to buy would be perfect

Will we finally get something out of this "special relationship" between Real and us now, by the way? Joke that was.

On why loan only, seems its a request from Ceballos himself...

Ceballos asked the leaders of Real Madrid to be yielded this season instead of being traded. Its relationship with its agents (it has a contract with Bahia until 2020 ) is not good and it prefers that in case of having to be transferred next summer, and in this way, the money from the possible sale goes in another direction and not towards the agents with whom he still has a contract and who participated in his arrival at the Madrid entity.
The Real Madrid has understood the request and will try that this season is an assignment, but if an offer comes irresistible would study the proposal, as white club has warned the player. Ceballos also believes that if he has continuity in his next destination he could convince the white technicians to return to Real Madrid.

Yeah i'd really prefer us to sign him rather than loan him. If they want Eriksen we should make that non-negotiable.

Also, at this rate, and the threat of Eriksen leaving for free next year - i'd be happy with even 30 or 40m + Ceballos to ensure we don't lose out on a transfer fee for him. £100m seems fanciful.

seems smart. doesn't want his current agents to score big before he ditches them.

If that is the case then it makes sense.

It just doesn't sound like something we usually do, loaning players in. In fact in recent memory we've only done the goalie from Espanyol, pletikosa and our favourite Frazier Campbell.

As everyone says, option to buy at the end of it else it makes little sense.

Spurs don't loan other teams players to develop them.

Getting caught up in the media machine that is Madrid is a rubbish thing to do.

What's the line the usual suspects roll out? 'Don't do it to yourselves' ... I wouldn't.

Adebayor was initially a loan from City.

I'm sure they'd be happy to sell as part of the Eriksen deal but Ceballos has to agree to any permanent deal. A year might be enough to convince him (and us), so a buy option should be included in any loan.

One could argue that Zidane does not see a future for both Arsensio and Ceballos at the club but I can’t really us signing one of theee permenantly. It doesn’t seem a very Real move to be fair.
