My mind instantly, and sadly, starts to drift onto the money though. Say we get this new stadium. ~55Kish. Over a season we get through 380K more bums in seats - assuming every game is a sell out. Let's go with consetaive figures and say an extra 300K over a season. That's a fair bit of money added to the kitty. Lowest amount spent at Spurs game is £40 or thereabouts, taking into account whether someone buys a drink, prog etc. £12m a season just in bums on seats alone and that's using the lowest figures possible. It would be a fair bit more than that. Then you have the eyewatering amounts the corporates bring in to add to that.

Jayus, hurry up with the stadium biz.

Mildly interesting though. We have the 10th largest stadium (I think) in the prem. Couple of spots above that in terms of average attendance though. We do sell well, despite being one of the most expensive clubs to follow, along with Pool, assnal and QPR and Swansea (understandable really because of their miniscule grounds). Would they pull an assnal and increase the prices anyway?

The numbers show why a stadium is a much needed requirement - although it could be a drag on finances for a few years due to interest costs, but think we would get a bigger £ naming rights deal than Arsenal which would mean us needing to borrow less, so we would do better than they have fared.

Guaranteed that the stadium would increase the % of 'cororate' premium priced boxes and seating (especially as transport/access issues are reducing desired capacity to 56,700 - if it were not for that we would probably go for closer to 65,000 capacity) raising average prices - but maybe 'ordinary' seating would not go up too much at present as its relatively expensive now and they want to keep a high attendence up in times of financial difficulty.
