So two ringing renditions of Stand Up If You Hate Arsenal already. No wonder they dont sing at the Emptycrates, we do it for them - we sing about them more than our own team.

Can somebody tell me what this chant achieves exactly, other than show how obsessed by our inferiority complex we are? It makes me cringe.

How about we sing about Spurs?

Did you post that from your phone at the match or sat on your sofa?

Yes, I can confirm it was chanted tonight.

Jesus, us loyal Spurs supporters and we come to every game get slagged off for the shit atmosphere at The Lane and get slagged off for this particular chant.

For the record I don't like the chant, but I like less being ordered to sit down with threats of losing my season ticket if I don't, so I join in, though never start.

Besides, it's very difficult to get any sort of atmosphere going when you ate 5-0 + up against a pub side. I tried to get "He's only four" going tonight, you know, just for a bit of fun. No takers at all.

I would have sing with you Matty, because it's out of line that he's only four. Someone should really inform the authorities.

Usually the same for early Europa games, fact is people just don't care about the early stages of the competition, a lot of regulars don't go and you end up with general sale tickets going to people who think it's amusing to sing anti-Arsenal songs.

The only time this normally gets sung at games is when the stewards are trying to get people to sit, so it is sung so everyone else gets up and pisses the stewards off. Don't have a problem with it done like that.

Agree with yid-ol and stoof. was in block 33 last night and the stewards were doing there best to ruin the atmosphere "you can stand up when there is a goal" wtf?

I started thinking of a new one for Soldado but couldn't get further than the first line

To the tune of Toto's "Rosanna"

All I want to do when I go to White Hart Lane is to see you score
Soldado, Soldado

Never got any further, but it's a start. Our chants in general are so shit. We didn't even use the one good one we had last season anywhere near enough. (Dont'cha wish you left back was B-A-E)

Omg. Lets get the cast of Glee in , Lets sing Bronski Beat don't you leave me this way.

Songs need to be chants not soft rock ballads!!!!

Congratulations to you,
Congratulations to you,
Congratulations you're a real fan, betterthaneveryoneelse
Congratulations to you

I did think to qualify myself by pointing out my diligent attendance record over the last couple of seasons and the fact I cant make midweek games because of shit like you know, work and mortgages. But I thought nah, no numpty is going to give it the 'me real fan you not' line on a forum where 90% of the people probably cant make any game. That person would be a twat.

What will really twist your melon is not only was i not at the game, but, but i was SAT on my sofa. Not standing up because i hate arsenal. Can you believe it? Bad bad fan.

Your realfan certificate is in the post by the way.

To be honest I agree with the OP, but when the away fans are like 50 in numbers and their team doesn't get a shot off, we might as well abuse the rivals

Ha ha ha. You really have got your knickers in a twist. I only ask as I have found that some of the most vocal slagger offers of the crowd are people who don't go. Oh and thanks for noticing I am a better fan than you. Now run along and do your job and pay your mortgage.

Same block as me. Did you see the guy getting kicked out after 10 minutes? He was in row 14. Funnily, it was for standing up.

Now can people why see why it is sung? Not many in the Park Land want to sit down, it's not a problem for most games as they don't bother that hard but last night the song was sung so we could get up and get an atmosphere going. Admittedly, it was still a shit atmosphere but it was a shit game, almost worse than a friendly.

Let's move on, I thought the atmosphere on Sunday was good, I don't hear anyone complaining about that?

Didn't see him as I was row 3. What I find odd is that the stewards walk from the back of the stand getting people to sit. If those people do sit then they cannot see. It would make sense to walk from the front of the stand get the front row to sit, then the second, third etc.

Actually, having said that I really don't think standing infront of your seat in that area is a problem, and the club could easily make it the "allowed to stand" area

My shit contribution: -

And I guess that's why they call him Capoue
He loves the yids, and the yids love him too
Kicking the gooners, smashing United
When he starts dribbling, we all get excited
And I guess that's why they call him Capoue

Promise my next effort will be better (won't be hard!)

OOh Vlad, ooh Vlad Chiriches,

I posted a video of the GWAR song Vlad the impaler somewhere. Has a good Vlad Vlad Vlad the impaler chant in it. Be easy to get going even if you'd not heard the song, which is a longshot anyway

Got slaughtered for this in the Lamela thread, so i guess it might fit in well over here :p :

Barry Manilow - Copacabana -> Coco Lamela

His name was Erik, he was a showboat
With dribbles full of flair and a pass down to there
etc
etc

He was Coco, Coco Lamela (Coco Lamela)
The hottest star since fucking ever
He was Coco, Coco Lamela (Coco Lamela)
Football and passion was always in fashion
with Coco.... he fell in love

etc etc

OK OK i admit it is slightly gay, and not very intimidating, but at least i tried!!!
