It's not meant to happen is it! :ROFLMAO:

Could be worse. If it does happen imagine how devastating it would be to finish 2nd behind them!!!

In our best ever premier league season we are clinging onto 2nd place from our rivals who are having their 'worst season' in ages.

If we lose to Newcastle next week and they overtake us, this will overtake the 4th place/Chelsea winning the CL debacle of 2011/12 as my lowest moment as a Spurs fan.

I'm beyond fucking furious that our players folded so badly today to make that scenario even possible. It should never have come to this. Apoplectic.

Better look up those anger management courses now then.

It's our destiny to finish below Arsenal, the wheels completely fell off in the 2nd half against West Brom.
We don't even see the wheels anymore, rolled right down the hill.

I expect another apathetic display next week

I desperately want to finish above Arse and I get the anger. Of course we shouldn't have let them get near. But qualifying for the group stages of the Champions League in a season we were expecting to finish 5th or lower would really equal your lowest moment as a Spurs fan?

Yep. It's all about context. My first season as a Spurs fan was 1995/96, one season later than our last finish above Arsenal: I've literally never seen us finish above them in my life. If we fuck up AGAIN, and on the last day of the season, it will be more than I can bear. I'd sooner go back to the dark days of the late 90s/early 2000s for a season rather than endure next Sunday if they overtake us.

I know a lot of people will disagree with us on this but I am tottaly with you mate. It is a disgrace that we folded like this - even a bloody draw today would have done it for Christ sake. Now they are back in the driving seat and based on the last two weeks we don't have a chance at Newcastle. I was hoping they would have nothing to play for but I realise now it is not our opponents, it is us! To not get a point with all that was at stake today is just not acceptable. I thought Stoke was bad, the capitulation at Chelski and now this. ARSEnal fans are all out tonight having a bloody good laugh - again, and it kills me!

I don't think anything will top us losing a deserved CL spot to a ridiculously fluky Chelscum winning the whole thing, especially after Uefa then changed the rules straight afterwards to make sure it would never happen again.
But I agree that potentially finishing behind the arse will be a humiliating bottle job.

At the start of the season id have given my left nut to finish in a CL place. Yes there are rivals, but really, nothing really matters whether 2nd or 3rd - neither of us won the title when he perhaps ought to have. I'll happily take our best finish in 362661 years and a guaranteed group stage in CL!

I really hope that's not the mentality of Poch and the players. Don't expect us to win anything ever with that attitude. This will be as good as it gets.

And just to add even more irony to the unfolding scenario...

It's 10 year anniversary of Lasagnagate...2006.

What's the betting something equally ridiculous happens to mark the occasion?

Jesus some of you lot at are pussies :hungry:

If Sunderland beat Everton on Wednesday Newcastle will already be relegated. Either way we'll get at least a draw.

2nd is ours. It's been an amazing season.

Excuse me, how long have you been following Spurs? Remember the lasagne? The Chelsea CL win? Mind the gap?

This would be one of our (relatively) less bizarre clusterfucks on the last day.
