My son has just made a very important point...
Can we really bring in two players with dodgy hairdo's in one window, with Gallagher and Dragusin?!

It's a cracking point.

Normally when we bring a player with a dodgy barnet in - Waddle, Brazil, Coates spring to mind - then we try to even it out with players with normal haircuts. This appeases the notoriously vengeful hairstyle gods.

The nearest to a double dodgy 'do season that I can recall is 1987-88 when we brought in Johnny 'bumfluff slaphead' Metgod and followed it up with Paul 'mullet supreme' Walsh.

They'll tell you we came 13th that season because of all the hoo-hah around David Pleat's kerb crawling, but I reckon it was the curse of the hairstyle gods.

Consequently, I'm of the view that, if we get Dragusin, which I hope we do, then we'll have to rule out Gallagher - at least until the summer.

Otherwise, the vengeance of the hairstyle gods awaits. And, given how cursed this season has been already, it can only be pretty horrendous.

He was once, as was his brother but his sister soon will be. At the moment she's in her 11th year but as we well know, she's 10 til she's 11.

Personally don't think this will happen. We may be trying to do a deal but there is no way he will join us, they will lynch him and that's just his family. It's a bit like Kane joining Arsenal. If Chelsea do decide to sell because of FFP he will go elsewhere IMO.

I personally want this one to happen so bad. It seems it won't go away and the fact that ange wants/believes in him this much makes me think CG would be making the smartest move of his young career to work under Ange.

I have never been entirely convinced by him and still when I watch him now I don’t really see it. But I don’t think he’s awful ether. The two pluses for me is 1 that he’s HG and 2, most importantly, that Ange supposedly really wants him. If that second point is true then I hope we get him even if I’m not particularly wild on the idea. As I have mentioned before I personally would rather go for a young player with bigger potential in the mould of Udogie/Sarr but ultimately if Ange sees him as a missing piece of the puzzle who aM I to disagree. That goes for Jota as well.

This situation is going to get fully flushed out before they possibly sell to us. Chelsusa want to maximise the bang for their homegrown buck for FFP.

I hope we sign him, but I’d expect a fair bit of smoke signalling before we hear anything more concrete.

Gallager would be a dream signing.

He is a very good no8 IMO. His numbers this season is as good as any no8 in whole of PL.
High energy pressing midfielders, can dribble and do the timely passes.

I really hope this happens.

Improves the squad though. He’s an upgrade on skipp and hojberg and allows us to move them on.
If are options next season are
Biss/Gallagher
Benta/sarr
Madds/Gio
That is incredibly strong
