FC Twente Away in the Champions League in 2011... don't know whether it was accurate but a screen outside the ground had the temp at -13, certainly felt that cold.

Metalhead

But that's a debate for another thread.....

I remember having a ticket for a home match against Sunderland in the 90-91 season and having to miss it due to it snowing albeit the match went ahead. I'm sure that it finished 3-3 with Walshy scoring a goal.

Was that the replay against the mighty Rochdale?
When I got back to my car that night it had about four inches of snow on it and I had to drive back to Bournemouth , luckily the roads weren’t too bad and there wasn’t any snow south of Basingstoke

I remember seeing Spurs vs Altrincham in the FA Cup in 1979. Very disappointing game where we drew 1-1 with the non league side. It had snowed and I remember going to the game by motorbike and putting newspapers down my sleeves to keep warm on the journey home

WBA away. Was -5 pitchside for an evening KO. We were 2-0 down having started with Gregorz Rasiak up front, who is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for us. Mido I believe pulled one back.
The path they make away fans leave stadium on was like an ice rink too
I think I was at this game too.

Was it between Christmas and New Year?

Absolutely freezing.

Another bad one was Wolves away for a FA Cup reply in January. Got to our seats and they were covered in snow, just glad I never really sat on it.

Inspired by a memory about a match away at Stoke. We often talk about the coldest games we've ever been to (I have no idea why).

- Fulham away Jan 2011 in the cup when Dawson got sent off and we were 4-0 down at halftime. I spilt boiling tea on my hands at HT and couldn't feel it.

- Leicester away Jan 2006 also a cup game. Spurs 2-0 up, we lose 3-2 to an injury time goal. Absolutely freezing.

- there was also a cup game (can't remember who to) whilst we were at Wembley during which it snowed the whole game. Was painful.

Anyone got others?
That replay against Rochdale was fun. Ended 6-1.

Blackpool in the 91 Cup Winning Run with a gale force wind blowing in from the sea - Erik the Viking barely made the edge of his own box with one goal kick - as we stood unprotected from the elements in the away end. Temperature wise it was only in the low single digits but I think it was raining as well ................ Stewart scored a scrappy goal to send us on our way

Donetsk was bloody freezing, was a Feb game. (Although had been warmed up by Molotov cocktails thrown at our hotel beforehand ?)
The second game in Prague on a Valentines Day was freezing, not necessarily during the game, but by the time had walked back to city centre afterwards.
Domestically Rochdale, and numerous occasions in 80s without roof on stands where totally open to elements

November 1982 away to Bayern Munich in the old Olympic stadium absolutly freezing many degres below and we lost 4-1. To cheer ourselves up myself and my two mates went to the best Gentlemans Club in town. To get in you had to ring a bell and a grill would open. The Frau looked at us shivering outside but dressd in warm normal clothing not wearing colours and said Ja . We asked if we could come in. She said English? we said yes,and she said no English hooligans here an slammed the grill shut! Not the best night ever.

One of the CL group games at Wembley, I think it was APOEL in 2017. We were already qualified, it was December and it was far from full. I remember holding a fresh cup of tea for most of the second half and it barely making a difference to how cold my hands were.

Not a game, but I remember queuing outside the Lane in 91 for (I think!) FA Cup semi-final tickets and being so cold I downed a cup of tea that my Mum had got from (I think!) Greggs on the high road. Until that day, I didn't drink tea. Now it fuels my every move. ?

Fulham away any time in the winter!
Have to agree. Remember a December fixture there around 2012 or 2013 and we won. It was so fucking cold. It had been snowing the days beforehand and this game was played on a day where skies were clear. The only time I've felt cold that bad was when I visited Prague in December a few years ago and it was -9 degrees.
