He said that Ramos didn't talk to him when he needed it and that BMJ was a better man manager or something along those lines.

ROY KEANE axed Pascal Chimbonda just hours before Sunderland’s win at Spurs — because he turned up late for a pre-match stroll.

The Black Cats boss wanted everyone to enjoy a walk around their hotel but was left fuming when Chimbonda did not show at the agreed time.
Keano blasted the full-back, 29, and told him to forget about playing at White Hart Lane.

He did not even make the subs bench and a source said: “The boss wasn’t happy with Pascal and told him he wouldn’t be playing. “His Sunderland career isn’t under threat but Roy wanted to put his point across.”

The bust-up marks a shocking start to life on Wearside for Chimbonda, who arrived earlier this month. Keane, who loves walking with his dog Triggs, hates poor timekeeping. He slapped Liam Miller on the transfer list last season for constantly being late for training. Two seasons ago, Anthony Stokes, keeper Marton Fulop and former Black Cats player Tobias Hysen were axed for a clash at Barnsley after they turned up late for the coach to Oakwell.

Keane refused to name names after leading his men to the brilliant 2-1 win in North London. But he said: “Every day something is thrown at me and makes you think ‘Bloody hell, I didn’t think that was going to happen today’. “But that’s part of the job and I enjoy that challenge.”

cheers bomber. flippin 'eck roy keane just loves getting stuck into his players. he blatantly saw this coming from chimbonda even before he signed him and couldn't wait to have a go! this must be the challenge he most relishes, getting players in a bit cheap whose attitudes are questionable and just getting into their heads from day one..

in this respect keane and jol are similar, ex midfield enforcer no nonsense managers..
gus seems a bit like that too

Couldn't find a relevant thread to put this in, but it's absolutely brilliant.

Touchline ban but registered as a player instead 🤣
