I'm concerned that the 'we have to win a trophy soon' is becoming an obsession with the media, and will filter down to our team. It's putting unwanted and un-needed pressure on us. The weight of expectation on their young shoulders could get too much for them. I don't ever remember any of our teams in the past having this to deal with. Just go out there lads, do your best, give a 100%, it's been a cracking season whatever happens. ENJOY your football. Trophy's will come I'm sure, just don't worry about it.

Rubbish....I'm bored of Spurs being a team that never wins anything and is always the bridesmaid. Being happy with that is what filters down to the players, who come to accept losing. We haven't won a major trophy for 26 years. Let's stop making excuses before a ball has been kicked, with loser talk about "trying your best". Great teams and great players win. Let's go out there a claim a place in the final, make it ours, not try our best and see what happens.

Lets turn this on its head for a bit and ask ourselves what state of mind are the Chelsea players in? Confident or worried.
Last time we played them we won.
They beat us at Stamford Bridge but we had key players missing.
We're in form wiping the floor with all before us.
They've just lost to Palace at home and Man U.
Costa is off the boil and now Cahil looks ropey (not that he's anything to worry about anyway).
Interested to hear your thoughts guys.

Fkin brought a tear to my eye then. I was ready to go over the top with that speech.
Any chance you can make it to Wembley tomorrow and sneak into changing rooms lol. Bang on mate.

Well that put me in my place!
No-one is happy about the lack of trophies, least of all me. The only thing that would've filtered down to the players over the years, is the fans frustration and discontent about our lack of success. Spurs fans are a tough crowd, we have always expected to play a certain way, and to be winning cups. In fact, you could argue that we are where we are now, because of the fans, and the board know exactly what we require.

I was really confident of a win tomorrow, and believe me after 53 years of being a pessimist anything Spurs that is a big deal, but I am now really concerned that the passing of Ugo is going to have a negative affect on the players especially as they would all see him and know him on a daily basis. That is very different from someone who used to be a club legend who they hardly saw or a board member. Its certainly going to be a strange atmosphere around the club at the moment affecting Poch, staff and the team.
Will have to wait and see, I pray that they will go and win it for Ugo.

Conte certainly is showing a lot of support in here, feeling all blue and cursed and all that

The display we put in on the day Sir Bill Nicholson's death was announced.....................bloody awful. But we had a much poorer team then admittedly.
