Attack our goal???
Did you watch the game?
They did hardly fk all in 90 min.
Lloris could have fked off for a coffee and you wouldn't have noticed.
We made some total clangers on the very rare occasions Chelski went forward and they scored from every one of them.
That wasn't tactics.
What kind of a fkin manager goes into a game thinking 'lets get totally outplayed for 90min but if we get 3 or 4 chances we'll take them.
Were those mistakes down to our players or Poch? Well probably 50/50 but bit harsh to blame Son for his as he should never have been put in that position in the first place.
Edit. Sorry. Didnt mean to jump down your throat. Just upset

That's how Chelsea play mate.

Getting sick of playing well but never winning the important games that matter.

Last ten years we have finished plus par almost every year all while investing more in infrastructure projects than any other club - this leaving us with an almost unbelievable stadium and training complex that will play dvidends in the future and raise our par.

We lost a game and that sucks but the club is running like a machine and we have lots to be proud of. I suggest you watch another sport cos this might not be right for you if you want guaranteed results.

I'm thinking we just need a bit of Lady Luck now.

These 90s when I had my ST hopefully truly gone now

Unfortunately we are still a bit Spursy. I've been feeling much more positive about this side over the course of the season, trying to shake off the last thirty years of cynicism and disappointment. But I had a bad feeling about the game in the first five minutes for some reason. These players have still got a lot to learn, but they're definitely moving in the right direction!

Keep going over it in my head. First goal needless free kick, second needless penalty. Third and fourth good strikes (fourth especially) but we kept backing off and backing off.

Mostly played well though, controlled the game. 4-2 flatters them.

Ain't that the truth.

The club is purring beautifully top to bottom.

It was a one off game, a couple of 'half
' mistakes and all luck to them - let's be honest, they scored with almost everytime they went forward. TheY can play like that again and never do that again for another year.

Levy and Poch doing a great job and losing to a filth outfit like them makes no difference.

Let's get behind our boys and support. Fuck all to whinge about, this is football.

Whether you think their filth or not the fact remains they win the games that matter the big ones, we on the other hand don't and still have a way to go.
I still think that manager and players all get sucked into the media hype leading up to games of this magnitude, with always the same outcome defeat for us.
We now move onto this week with 2 London derbies coming up in which I fully expect us to be fully out of the title race by next weekend I'm sad to say, can see a draw and another defeat looming in time honoured fashion.
The plan at the start of the season was to secure top four which we will do so that is job Done, but the talk has been about us delivering a trophy for once and yet again it ends in failure in predictable fashion but still coys.

Having just watched the goals back on BBC sport I really didn't appreciate Eriksen's ball for Alli's goal until now. What a pass (and finish from Dele mind).

Eriksen has something special that can unlock defences. Pundits saying he can't do it in big games were proven wrong yesterday with two more assists againsts the league leaders.

Yeah in the opening minutes of the game we looked nervous - particularly in defence. I had a bad feeling as soon as I saw the team announced. Playing Son as a left wing back was an unnecessary gamble.

Winning trophies on a regular basis also raises your par just throwing it out there but yes I understand the rest of your post.

Surely your not suggesting that it couldn't have been anything other than tactics? To suggest that such errors were all part of Chelsea's plan is even more far fetched. Sometimes teams with better tactics lose; and those tactically bettered win. Calling Conte a tactical werewolf (not you) is horseshit
Conte's tactics were good and ours poor and gues what they won and put 4 goals past us. End of.

Those 4 goals were two needless set pieces given away, one shot through a crowd of players and one wonder strike.

It wasn't tactics, it was lack of closing down and sliding in unnecessarily that cost us.

Disagree that our tactics were poor. We'd been discussing all week how to include Son, Dier and Wanyama. It appears Davies didn't warm up so maybe a knock? Jan was to cover Son I assume.
When youve three players of the calibre Chelski had to come off the bench then you've a real chance to affect the game.
We dominated but conceded all 4 goals - ostensibly - from set pieces. Although I'm really feeling bitter losing to those horrible f**kers I'm very proud of what we've done over last 18 months. Obviuosly we need to get our heads right for Weds and continue as the force we can be.

So what was the reason for Son being at left wing back? Davies was injured?
I believe he was carrying a knock, I can't remember exactly who said it, but there was a link provided, its somehwere in the thread but as usual, stuff like that gets lost in the rush to "put it on Poch"

No one to blame but ourselves for yesterday. MP had a big decision to make yesterday regarding Son, does he drop him to play a system that worked well when we beat CFC in Jan or does he play him and stick with the 4 at the back as of late where we have looked imperious playing it. What he chose to do is what cost us the game....

IF Davies was injured, as some have speculated, then either MP had to bring in Wimmer to play left hand side of the 3 with Vertonghen playing LWB or we go to a flat 4 with Vertonghen playing LB. To play a attacking midfielder/striker, with no defensive mind to his game, as a LWB was a accident waiting to happen. I don't blame Son for giving that pen away as he's not a bloody defender and he's made a attackers challenge. Moses may have made a meal of it but the way Son went to ground he made Moses decision easy for him. If the boot was on the other foot you don't think Alli would have bought us a pen in that same situation?
Our lapses in concentration at the back also cost us the game just like they have all season in the big games. We get away with them in the lesser games against the dross but when you play the better teams they will punish you just like they have done all season. It is no coincidence we have failed to win any big game away this season and almost all of them defeats have been down to defensive lapses.

Our one true chance of winning a trophy this season thrown away by a suicidal team selection and lack of concentration at the back. By next season it will be TEN YEARS since we won a trophy, dress that how you want but that is just not good enough. Nobody remembers losers and for all the good we have done the last 20 months that is just what we still are,but don't stress next year will be our year right.......

p.s. Before you lot start bitching about other teams fans/pundits calling us legends think to yourself have we given them any reason for not thinking that....?

When a team is building and developing like our young side is there is a process, a systematic progress, last year we beat some lower teams but still struggled to break down others.
At the same time we were so so against the top clubs despite the fact that they weren't at their best yet all of that was an improvement on the year before.
This year we are now routinely beating the lower teams and challenged the top clubs, up until now none of them have taken full six points against us and only United have the opportunity to still do that even though nobody thinks they will.
We are now in the game against those sides but we do need to improve our points tally against them especially away and win the big games but that is the last thing to come, we are nearly there and I see no reason why we won't get there.
previously we have lost these games because we were simply second best and if we are honest, because we only had a chance if one of our players did something amazing or if the luck was with us, we are miles away from that now.
I get that it is hard to take that this happens and we want it to stop but it doesn't stop over night, we have to travel a road and we are motoring well up that road in the right direction at the right speed so we will get there. We need to keep the faith.
