Come on lets not kid ourselfs, we're not winners, we can sugar coat this all we want and live a dream about how Spurs are going to win things in the future but we have to face reality sometimes

Oh yer so lets all give up eh:facepalm:. Scrap the stadium and lets subside to a happy to stay in the league side(y)

Lloris should save it but unsighted, and was purely him planting his feet/shifting his weight and not being able to get back. We're talking split second stuff. I'd be concerned about that the freekick came from first I think Kane dawdling and getting caught on the ball, then a ball played forward that Batman was first to react to unchallenged, then Pedro is second to react and clean through on goal as our defence is caught square and sleeping. The first 15 mins we were second best, actually not even second best tbh, all over the park and clinging on.
Without a doubt, I thought we were getting our pants pulled down for a lot of the duels. In that first half anyway.

We fought really hard, controlled most of the game, undone by some awful defending. First goal Lloris, second stupid challenge by Son ( a forward's tackle ), 3rd started with Dier giving the ball away when we were dictating for a counter attack and then completely leaving their best player unmarked.

But we should have gone with the team shape that has been doing it for us in recent weeks. Since when has Son been a wing back ? Disastrous decision. I have been saying for weeks that we should not switch to 3 at the back until Rose comes back. Davies should have come on for Dier so we could do that. In fact that should have been our starting line up. We needed Son doing what he has been doing in the last couple of months, getting into the box not doubling up as a defender.

The players on the pitch gave everything and can't be criticized. But on this occasion I do criticize Pochettino for his selection.
Worst selection from Poch since he has been at the club playing our goalscorer at left wing back, couldnt believe it to be fair. Yet again we have not got the mentality strenght to beat these sort of teams in big games. Eric fuck off Dier has been absolutely shocking since he signed his new contract. But surely Levy has to act seeing the likes of Hazard and Costa come on for them, we bring on No Can Do. We have played some amazing football again this season but its going to end up the same as last Champions league once again NO TROPHY again. A better pionts haul than last, so are we progressing? We have no strength in depth until that is addressed by our tight ass chairman i think we will be where we are now just not good enough. When Willian and Batsu came off sulking if our chairman would of put his money where his fucking mouth is. Those two players might well of been in a Spurs shirt celebrating a Spurs triumph but we are not 7 semis in a row lost. Fucking shite to be honest.. But i keep the faith as many of you do also!! And i love Poch even though he got it wrong today. Learn from your mistakes as you cannot accommodate players to win semi final

No this season.

I will say that I don't expect us to win anything under Pochettinho much in the way I didn't with Redknapp.

Good manager but not a top level one.

Let's not get carried away.

What a total prat(y). What do you want? Shall we get on there backs? Give them stick? Boo at the final whistle? Shall we start chanting poch out? Levy out?

Jeez wake up you spoilt brat. None of the above will help will it? The best that can come from any of the above is that it disturbs oir progression and our best players start to look to move. They whole team would have been gutted and it would have hurt them all today. We have come a long way in a short time so what more do you want?
If you want to spout total drivel about how we should all be fuming at the the team/coaches/club then youre supporting the wrong team. Go support juve or madrid.

I think you are missing my point...we should be upset, take it on the chin and accept that we lost because we weren't good enough and made very basic errors.

To say we are proud, we played well but we were unlucky is losers talk that you wouldn't see from Utd or Barca or Chelsea. Which is why they win many trophies.

Surely watching Spurs in recent years or united teams of yesteryear should have clued you in that success in Sport is in many ways about mentality.

If you don't hate losing you will come up short...no excuses...no "oh but we played well."

We lost because we defended like a bunch of prats at key moments, luck had very little to do with it.

The players and fans need to accept and understand that.

I will be proud when I see Hugo hoisting a trophy aloft.

A few years ago with the team we had maybe I would be proud. Not today.

At the club we've got one of the best GK in the league, the best central defence, best full back combo, best CM combo in league, one of best young players in the world, the 2nd best CAM on form and arguably the best ST in the league.

We're meant to be proud losing 4-2 cos our team cost less than there's? Fuck that. We should have won that game and it isn't good enough losing, I hope the players feel the same.

Yep!

Not proud of losing 4-2. Conceding 4 goals to Chelsea
Poor defensive display and some bad tactical decisions

Our midfield and attack was good however

He may not be yet, but he's young an learning. Jose and conte in the last week have shown the difference that top level manager can make. Poch has to get team selections and tactics right against the big boys. He changes far too many things

Can we just say we are unlucky with injuries and lost today match because of this?

Ffs it feels like we are fighting relegation battle in the league for our season-ending run...

Just back. Very proud of the team, thought we were great.
They had four shots and they all went in. We should have marked Hazard at the corner but aside from that we didn't do much wrong.
Plus they were dirty, going through the back of Kane and Ali throughout and the ref just let them.
Let's win at Palace!

Also it's a bit embarrasing to fuck off home early.. what kind of message do the plastics think they are sending to the players when they look up and see our end is half empty? Or maybe swap thay scenario with one where the whole end stays, cheering and fighting on to the death.. which one do you think might have a positive effect on our players? Well done to everyone that stayed
If they want people to stay, don't lose 4-2. Simple

Luiz got man of the match and fuck knows how. Must have gone through Kane or Alli at least 5 or 6 times, often without being penalised. Alonso had 4 fouls before he got a yellow and even that was for obstruction

The whole problem came from trying to shoehorn Son into the line-up. I thought he should have started on the bench and was gutted to see him trying to play a defensive role with such little experience (proven by the stupid slide block attempt in the box).

We should have played 343 with Davies and if Hazard had started, man marked him with Walker. But we tried to mix things up and so did they and they just seem to have the squad and in-game intelligence / discipline to handle small changes. Ake was a worthy replacement for Cahill and Moses and Willian played well on their right. Bearing in mind that was their right side, why was Son suddenly expected to deal with that?

In the end, though despite the ridiculous penalty, I felt we did commit the usual errors we see from this team. Dier and Wanyama on several occasions passed to no-one, just trying to appear visionary I feel, which is particularly Dier's achiles heel. Wanyama wants too much time on the ball and Chelsea know they can press those two and force mistakes. Dier rates himself too highly and needs to keep it tight and release the ball to others rather than trying to look for long passes all the time and giving up possession when our whole team is up the pitch. Dembele and Toby saved us a few times because of that.

The fact that even when Hazard comes onto the pitch, their best player is left alone on the edge of the box tells you everything about our mentality. We are actually too cocky at times and seem to think 'it will be alright, one of us will get a block in' rather than showing the 'respect' Hazard deserves and marking him like Man Utd did.

No one can account for the wonder goal by Matic, although I thought that Lloris could have dived, but I reckon he thought it was going wide for a split second and then it was too late to dive and overall he was nervous and pretty poor throughout the match imo. So in the end, without Rose we just didn't have enough to match them.

I am so disappointed it's unbelievable. That Chelsea team were easily there for the taking. They didn't even have to play well to beat us. When I saw our line up it just didn't look right did it. We gifted them that win.
