Why do we need jokers? Don't mind players having a laugh behind closed doors and having working relationship but we don't need clowns in public

They're young guys, they need to enjoy themselves. Football needs to rediscover its fun side. I wanna see things like Gazza picking up the refs card and waving it back, funny goal celebrations etc.

I think there is certainly a place for a laugh in football. On and off the pitch. Some players take themselves far too seriously. However, the football needs to come first and a little talent with the joking is what makes it work. Gazza could pull it off because he was an absolute genius of a footballer as well as being a complete joker. There is a danger of less talented players pulling those kind of tricks & getting lambasted by fans because they should be putting more effort into the game.

That aside, I much prefer seeing the lads having a bit of fun than last season where they all looked like quiet bullied school children.
