this is 100% right, everything they create recently seems to be via their full backs

I think you stop their full backs by adopting our own attack i.e. Son and Lucas on either side of Kane... it will preoccupy them, give them something to think about

In the lead up to the final in Madrid, Mourinho was asked what he thought of Pochettino and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

“They have the team, they have the players, the structures, and they are good coaches,” Mourinho told L’Equipe via Sport Witness.
Tottenham haven’t spent any money over the last couple of transfer windows, making Pochettino’s achievements look all the more impressive.

It was put to Mourinho that “Mauricio Pochettino wins without recruiting…”

To which Mourinho responded: “He won what, what trophy? I admire the work of Mauricio and Jürgen, both deserve to achieve something great, and there is nothing greater than holding the Champions League, but one of them will lose.”

Any team that’s had a degree of success against them has been to pin their fullbacks back so we need to do that 100%. That and stop early balls to their strikers from the centre backs.

So whoever we pick in attack is going to be very busy indeed.

It’s stressful watching the wheel of death counting down to giving you access to the site.

Yep, makes me think we should risk a more attacking line up because then Trent has Son to contend with 1on1 and Robertson has Moura. This is why I also think it's best that Kane starts because if he can occupy the two Centre Halves this means 1. The fullbacks can't push up because they have to mark Son/Moura and 2. They are 1on1 because of the job Kane will be doing.

The counter problem will be that we might get overcrowded in midfield because Eriksen/Dele accompanying Sissoko isn't as defensively astute as Sissoko/Winks or Sissoko/Wanyama but their midfielders do not provide the quick passing and through balls which the likes of Ajax or City did. so for more it may be worth the risk of putting the midfield on Sissokos shoulders and asking Eriksen and Dele to do the job defensively.

There is a compromise where you sacrifice one of the wingers and ask Dele or Eriksen to occupy the free fullback whilst the other helps Winks and Sissoko in midfield which is possibly a more balanced approach but I'd be concerned their fullback will be able to get forward more.

Games in 3 weeks and my hearts already in my mouth. Hard to find the words to describe how big this game is and what it could mean for us. Need Kane and Winks fit for this.

Going to get so drunk prior to the match so that I feel nothing. I need to work on my coping mechanisms.

Me too only problem is I have to take my youngest to a birthday party between 4 and 6 o’clock. Do you think they would mind if I start working my way through a crate of beer during the party?

I said to myself that I'll try not to think about it too much until a few days before. but...

Whenever I have a quiet moment to myself my brain defaults to "OOOOH THEY'VE DONE IT!!!" and it all comes flooding back.

If he's fit Kane has to start IMO

Then how are you going to feel when the team will be parading the cup on an open top bus driving by our new stadium? At the start of the season anyone would be sectioned for suggesting the possibility, now we have a 50% chance, good times!

If I can’t get a ticket though will def be up for hooking up in a fan zone as I’ll be on my own.

I know plenty going alone. I’m meeting up with a shitload of Tottenham and Liverpool during my time out there. You’ll be fine

I'm looking into booking an area at The James Joyce Pub for all the ticketless spurs fans on their own to watch the game. I've messaged them to see what can be done. Its about 10 min walk from the fan zone. If you fancy it. I'll prob use the fanzone for a bit of atmosphere during the day whilst the suns out.

2-1 - oh well at least we’ve scored a goal
2-2 - watch us lose this in the last minute
3-2 - Omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg!!!!!!!!
97 minute - what the fuck are you doing Lamela??? Blow the fucking whistle ref!!!!
98 minute - going full victor Meldrew!!! Into pure stunned disbelief!!

Unbelievable. Unbelievable!! Still!!!

Sounds like an OK idea but too sophisticated. This is a major final, not a well organised tea party. Keep your 11 men on the pitch and get two of theirs off early on. Then you are in it with a shot.

Serious question: As the "home" team, can we choose the kit, and- if so- can it be the lucky 3rd one?
