Meanwhile a couple of hundred Spurs fans still wait for Thomas Cook to issue flight times!

Honestly, if I was one of those people with Thomas cook I’d be making back up travel plans that can be cancelled and a refund got. Don’t like the sound of it at all.

We still don’t have our flight details. Phoned Thomas Cook today at lunchtime and they said definitely by 6pm. Phoned at 17:45 but no answer. Looks like I’ll spend tomorrow chasing them. Dreadful. Hope we make it.

Iberia added an extra Scheduled flight on Saturday from Luton leaving at 11:15 (they initially were hoping to rip people off at £600 per seat). That plan hasn't worked out for them so now they're offering tickets on that plane for £195. Lands 3pm Madrid time.

Also: a lot of Hotels on Saturday night have become much cheaper - there seem to be 10-20 3* and 4* star places at around £200 for the night (also: if you happen to have some Marriott points or know someone who does, you can get plenty of rooms at their regular points rates, even if the hotels are charging silly money for cash bookings)

Well I've just got my confirmation... Fly out at 10am and fly home at 8am SUNDAY! Absolute shambles. Now I have to shell out for a hotel which is exactly what I didn't want to do and one of the reasons why I booked with TC in the first place.

Edit, fuck it I'm out celebrating all night or sleeping in the airport for a few hours.

celebrate for a few hours or however long the celebrations are, make your way to the airport is the best way. if you go celebrating by time you get to your hotel, your still be expected back to the airport for 6am, not worth getting a comfy bed for 4-5 hours. is that 8am Spanish time?

Same as me , I’ll just kip at airport! Had to do same in Greece couple of years ago, we got the last bus to airport and had early flight home

We’ve got ours, the 10am going and 8am Sunday coming back. Not impressed with return time but likewise, we’ll just hang out at airport. Just relieved to have our flight details. Definitely spoilt the run up to it though.

I have my original hotel booked but it was 20mins Drive from the centre. I can just crash now after the winners celebrations ?
