Just "booked" the Thomas Cook package on the off chance I get a ticket.

Am I right in understanding even if I DO get a ticket they can't guarantee I'll get a seat on the plane?

I just quietly mentioned to my other half it would be cool to go to Madrid for the final for the experience, even if it means taking several trains through France, to test the water.

He said “you should go, if you don’t you’re a fucking twat”

So I think I’m allowed to go on an adventure

Wife said to me.... this might be the only chance you ever get.

Sounds like permission to me.... bloody long way from Melbourne though and no chance i’ll get the week off work ☹️

All nighter in the pub it is then.

We will be oversubscribing applications for this trip. Confirmations will be done in order of match ticket purchase, as instructed to us by the club. By applying for travel, you are registering your intent and are in agreement that we can take payment from your card and confirm your booking once we are advised you are eligible by the club.

I've been to by the Mrs that it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and to just go.
However, it's been done with that look of "do it and I'll never let you forget about it" and I also need to do it purely from 31st to 2nd due to work - not easy.
I've no chance of a ticket via the legitimate methods, so paying £500 for flights, just to be in Madrid seems a little bit mental, especially as that's how much we pay for our family week in Norfolk.

I'm in a similar boat mate, I won't bother going unless I get a ticket which I should hopefully do. We've just brought a new house and we're spending loads of money on two new bathrooms, master bedroom and a loft conversion :X3: The misses has been very supportive though to be fair and understands it's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Some errors on Th Cook site.
"
Day trip from London Stanted to Madrid available to Spurs Supporters in possession of an official match ticket, obtained via cub channels only.
https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/tickets/buy-tickets/away-tickets/
Included in the price - Return flights from London Stansted Airport to Madrid Barajas (subject to confirmed slots), in-flight snack, airport taxes, ATOL Levy, coach transfers from the airport to the stadium and return, Thomas Cook Sport representative service and Liverpool stewards
"
This is actually on their website spelling mistakes and LIVERPOOL stewards, can you trust the planes they are using, Sopwith Camels maybe.

We are looking at buying a Benidorm package holiday from Friday to Monday - costs around 400/500 for flights and hotel, then on the Saturday, train to Madrid (3 hours).

That looks like my best avenue from Ireland aswell. The credit unions over here have already been sucked dry by Liverpool fans.

If thats the case that would be a damn bonus and would definitely get a ticket havingsaid that im sure there are box holders or the premium lot that would also take up a fair few of those 16k... I guess rightly so given theyre paying in the money.

We will soon find out but im just so sceptical about getting one - fingers crossed.
"box holders or the premium lot..." I'm quite sure it does not come out of the allocation, it certainly doesn't on away games in PL

BBC have reported Liverpool have announced ticket details and provided a breakdown of costs.
16,613 each

20% at £60 = 3,322 tickets
54% at £154 = 8,971 tickets
21% at £385 = 3,488 tickets
5% at £513 = 830 tickets

Yes I think so and it really worries me as don’t know how I’d get there another way as I have to be back Sunday as we fly to USA on Monday on holiday?
