A corporation giving something back, wow

At a glance, Id agree. But when you think about it, this is a masterstoke by BT and will not cost them anything. Indeed, it should actually increase revenues.

They already have their subscriber base, so they carry on paying.

All those of us that don't subscribe can now watch it... This means we see how great BT sport is and might want to sign up ourselves. Also, it means that the advertisers reach a far higher number of end users, ergo they have to pay more to the platform providers (BT Sport/YouTube etc)

Its brilliant... Everyone thinks they are being generous but it will not cost them anything and will actually make them more money.

I don't know if it's changed but I think they have to make this game free to view. Good that the info is out there though.
