Ok so I know I am going to get some neg rep for this but.......

Am i the only one who thinks Caulker is a bit shakey and shits myself everytime he has the ball?
The last 2 matches I have not thought he has been as good as everyone says.

Verts on the other hand WOW....just WOW

Remember that time when you were in your early twenties , and had to play in front of 36k hard ass supporters who get on your case whenever the smallest thing goes wrong?

I imagine it's nerves, but he is still class.

I disagree. He looks very composed on the ball for such a young player. Looks a beast in the air at both ends of the pitch. Very excited about him.

Nope, Im impressed with him so far and I think he is playing well. Whats really good is that he won header after header from the corners we had so I'm looking forward to him chipping in with a fair few goals/assists this season.

His heading was poor today, twice he dropped them onto the edge of our area. Both times causing major problems. He should have brought Dawson on.

I agree with him having a bench/cup role at the moment. But he really has a lot of potential. Most teams would love him as a first choice centre back

Brilliant against Lazio IMO.

Being comfortable in front of his home crowd in the EPL will come with time.

More time than it should if the crowd keep on with this booing bollocks.

The headers he made back out of the box that caused problems for us were only problems because the rest of the team had their thumb up their arse instead of being alert for the 2nd ball. I assume one of these was when Vertonghen had to make that awesome last ditch tackle? That was caused by Caulker getting his head on the ball well but Gallas being asleep and getting beaten to the ball by a forward who had started 10 yards behind him. If Gallas was awake for that it wouldnt have been a problem. I though Caulker was great when he came on. Caused problems with his head at the other end as well which is nice to see.

Caulker is young and will develop and grow, but he is playing pretty well as it is, so in the future... I think he maybe immense (y)

If Kaboom, doesn't come back soon, he might find it pretty hard to break back into the starting line up... Although with proper rotation, i think he will gt plenty of games.

It's interesting for me to see this lad grow and hopefully become a top class footballer. When he was 15/16 and was in the Reading youth set-up, my cousin got offered a scholarship ahead of him. Hence why he ended up at Spurs. Amazing how things turn around, my cousin's now playing for a college team in Boston, and Caulker's playing in the PL.

didnt see the game today but looked great against lazio. Thought he was extremely composed, and comfortable passing with both feet. Can see him and Kaboom slogging it out by the end of the season.

I won't neg you, but I couldn't disagree more. He has looked assured on the ball and looks a class act.

i agree he is a kid learning his trade. he is young and will learn the more experience he gains. the only reason people on here rave about him is fact he is home grown and everyone loves a kid coming thru , same as me but that does not make it right that he should be regular. ease him in and bring him along but he does look good and has a presense . big danger 2 from set pieces which is good to see.

People seem to think that because people have been raving about him since he was 17 and on loan at Yeovil that he is just going to step in and be Ledley King II. That isn't going to happen. He has one season of Premiership football under his belt at 20/21 years old where he played for a team who were playing without pressure and expectation. He now has to make the transition back to playing for a club that he has barely even trained with for the last three years, at a different end of the table (in terms of expectation) and in a period where the team are under immense pressure from their own fans and everyone else.

He's an absolute monster of a man, the first defender that we have had in a while that looks like a genuine threat from every set piece, he is comfortable on the ball- if he wasn't he wouldn't have played so many games for Swansea, and he is still learning.

He will be an England regular within 2 years, especially now that piece of work from Chelsea has stepped aside
