What's new

Can we take a moment to laugh heartily at Everton?

I’m calling it now. They’re going down. Defence will give them a punchers chance but no creativity in midfield or target man up top.

Yeah very weird they’ve not tried to get another striker in. Especially when forest are about to buy Dennis and Maupay. While not great strikers, they’re better than nothing.

Lampard is shit but they’ll be fine when DCL comes back. Their squad is filled with solid PL level players and Onana is a really great buy.

They do need someone else up top though. DCL is decent but seems to be rather injury prone and unless they can sort that out, he can't be relied on.

They got some pretty decent players but feel to be short on proper forwards.

I'm not saying Everton are becoming a meme or anything, but, two games into the season, and their only scorer so far is a bloke they sold seven months ago.

When is the stadium due to be completed?

Maybe they are learning from Levy, and aiming to complete the stadium in time for promotion to a bigger competition.

Guardian reporting Besiktas are in for Ali and Everton won't stop him from going. How does that affect our deal with them I wonder? Also, how sad it is for Ali to go from the highs of his first few seasons to this.

I might be in the minority but I'd be sad to see them drop down.

I've given The Bald One my share of shit down the years but I'll take the missed opportunities and flubs over staring into the abyss as some clubs have had to do recently, looking back on it all.

He needs to play Rondon up top with Alli in a free role just like how we did, he’s got nothing to lose, with
McNeil and Gray wide and coming in to support attacks. Doucoure and Onana in the middle anchor with a flat back four.

Turkey is often a league that players who are past their prime bugger off to. Pretty country and I'm sure it pays well. Fans are very passionate, but the football isn't the best. He's never been a bad player from a technical perspective, it's purely his mindset and I can't imagine playing in Turkey is going to change that.

If he had fight in him he'd sign for a Championship club, but that rarely happens. He's probably thinking about the best ways to get as much money as possible before fading out into obscurity.

Lampard for the spammers ?
I think he’ll be leaving Everton very soon the way it’s going and him pitching up at West Ham would be hilarious!
I haven’t seen anything from him to make me think he’d succeed as a manager in league 1 let alone higher up the food chain in all honesty.
