Of the 4 AMs we are linked to, this is the only one I don’t want to happen as I believe he is overhyped and will flop.

Totally agree.

It’s an anomaly of my work that I end up following the Portuguese league and i’m pretty concerned at the price we’re supposedly spending on him. There are so many red flags and I believe the nerdy stats guys have data to suggest that stats-wise he’s been over performing and those stats (goals/assists) are likely to regress, even if he stayed in Portugal.

Defensively and discipline wise he's well short from Lo Celso and still short of Coutinho. I also count discipline as how much he gives the ball away.

ok. I was answering to your comment "lacks defensive discipline". I don't know Lo Celso that much but defensive wise (excluding giving the ball away) BF isn't worst than Coutinho IMHO.

Regarding "gives the ball away" too much, keep in mind that, as you mentioned, Sporting is a one man show team. There is a lot of pressure on BF to create opportunities, score and decide games. It would be extraordinary if his risky play style wouldn't affect stats.

From watching his games, in particular in 2017/2018 where his primary role was to support Bas Dost, I agree that he needs to control better the tempo of the game and the risks he takes, but I don't think that it is as much of a problem as the stats of 2018/2019 show. I can see him easily improving under Poch.

None of these deals sound easy. BF wants to come but fee not agreed, ditto all Celso. Dybala if complex and Coutinho appears to be some kind of back up in case Eriksen leaves.

I hope we get who we want, but it would not surprise me to discover that we had signed two completely different players by the time the window closes.

We are only 5m apart in variables if I understood. So , very much doable, if we want

yeah, but Record says that one particular goal is extremely difficult to achieve. I'm guessing that they would accept something like 55+10-15M (in realistic targets).
