I believe he thinks the rest of his team is tat, so if he doesn't shoot/create no one will. So he takes speculative shots/passes.
I don't think Sporting were that bad first half, but their defence this half...laughable.
If this is the defence of the 3rd best team in Portugal he definitely won't be near as productive in England.

Pizzi would be MotM but Fernandes has really stood out. Less positive is that he seems to have lost a bit of faith in his teammates in the late stages as he's trying to do everything by himself now compared to earlier in the game.
Sporting are 5-0 down and he's the only Sporting player who is still trying and he's very vocal on the pitch.
I can see why he's captain for them

Fuck this has been a hard match to watch. Sporting is horrible.

Bruno is certainly their shining star, and played a good match considering the guys he's surrounded by. He played high up the pitch most the match but had to make space for himself to shoot all day, mostly from distance (and desperation as his side got battered). He did have two close range chances he should've buried, but he played a lot of great balls forward to his teammates that they couldn't capitalize on.
