Unsure if this made it in here earlier, but Daily Mail is running with the headline “Bruno Fernandes tells Sporting Lisbon he wants to join Spurs and asks them not to stand in way of move this week”

“The Portugal international midfielder held talks with Sporting Lisbon president Federico Varandas on Friday to inform them of his desire to leave and hopes the club will not stand in his way as he sets his heart on a move to London.

I think that id prefer glc of the 2 and if indeed betis have lowered his price we should pay. 75m down to 60m would be a big breakthrough and i dont think we were far off that. I think we offered that including bonuses?

The early transfer window closure puts us in a difficult position with Eriksen where he can leave after our window shuts. If he won't commit now we should accept he's not interested in THFC and act early to deal with the situation.

IMO it would show the sort of backing that Poch has been asking for which is so important if we want him to continue with the fantastic work he's been doing. You can't put a price on that but I bet Levy thinks he can.
