This will eventually be a very exciting signing if it happens. He's a classy player.

But I'm all in on Lo Celso and Dybala, so if we don't get them I know I'm going to be momentarily disappointed and not appreciate Bruno as much as I should straight away.

Strange times to be a Spurs fan.

If they have to pay Fernandes €5M after rejecting a bid from us, that was supposedly €5M short of their valuation, why didn't they just accept our offer?

cause the €65M included bonus and at least one of them is unrealistic according to the Portuguese media. I highly doubt that they would reject a plain €65M offer.

People need to get a grip about signing BF ffs. Just because we were linked with Dybala and Coutinho people suddenly don’t like this guy anymore. Christ.

He’s 24 and imo the best 1:1 replacement for Eriksen.

Signing BF + more would be more than any of us has hoped for.

Not too disappointing considering I thought we would sign no more players
While losing Eriksen it would be quite disappointing as we would be weakened in that position. I don’t think it’s fair to say Bruno will be a bust buts it’s absolutely fair to say he won’t match Eriksen’s output in year one. The idea is to strengthen the team.

we were banking on Eriksen signing or getting a good fee I dont think the club were even considering option 3, disgruntled player, wanting to leave and no takers

Of course they considered that and it is what they have been trying to avoid. At the end of the day I can see him going for a cut rate deal outside of England if we can't move him by tomorrow.

It seems like Fernandes will be the easier of the two deals to complete when comparing to GLC circus so I think we'll just get the Fernandes one done and get GLC in the final hour if Eriksen leaves.

Eriksen isn’t going anywhere before the UK window shuts. European sides have no reason to panic buy him in the next 24 hours. If he leaves it’ll be end of August

I really enjoy reading how people believe Fernandes will be a complete flop based on Youtube videos and their 'hunch'.

Sigh......

They'll be the same ones who confidently predicted that Victor Wanyama would get a red card every time he got on the pitch for us.

Huge variance between the ITK and the media on this one. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
