Ah ok...did Ronaldo look pissed off that Bale had scored?
Ronaldo's the same for everyone. After Ramos scored the equaliser in the CL final in the 93rd minute, Ronaldo didn't even celebrate.

The reason I said it was similar to the Ade situation is because if you go on social media/forums, most people are pissed off with some of the fans who are whistling, which suggests to me that it is still a small percentage of a huge fanbase that are doing it.

That maybe so but regardless, the fans at the games represent the fan base I'm afraid. The vocal minority speak louder than the rest

True.

Just thought he might see Bale as more of a threat to nicking his thunder sort of thing.

So the fans booing Ade represent our fanbase?

They are still the biggest club in the richest league in the world, and 5 years without CL football didn't stop Liverpool buying world class players like Suarez.

They paid for him with the money from selling Torres though, along with spending £35m on Andy Carroll (still funny).

Man United are a bit of a different animal however, they're still one of (if not the) the most valuable sporting brands in the world and are very good at exploiting that commercially. That said I don't think they'll manage to pry Bale from Perez' grasp, I think it's more likely CRonaldo given he's just passed 30.

To Adebayor, yes. Do you really think that Adebayor and Bale go home and go round the football forums to get a consensus of the fans' opinions on them? Hate to break it to you, but no they don't. All they know is what they hear from the fans, hence why Bale even did the ears covered celebration in the first place, and why Adebayor has spoken out in the media about it. The fans at the games represent the fan base as a whole whether you like it or not.

Valdes? Who the fuck is that? ...OH - Oh, you mean that number 3 of theirs? Oh yeah, he's a cracking keeper that one. He's the future of MUFC for sure!

Yeah, Victor Valdes. Y'know, the guy with 6 La Liga titles, 3 Champion's League winner's medals and who was Barcelona's first choice 'keeper for a decade.

No chance of us getting Bale and if he goes any where it will likely be back to England and probably one of the Manchester Clubs. Sadly we won't afford the £100m or what ever it will be Perez would ask for.

Okay... you gonna give me Pele's achievements or stats next and tell me he is good enough for Utd too? You DO realise he is number, 3 behind Lindegaard?

He's only not in contention because of fitness. He's also only 33, got years left on him.

They didn't, he wanted a new challenge so didn't renew his contract.
Was his challenge to remain seated on the bench in Manchester. If it was me, I'd prefer to sit on the bench in the warmth of Barcelona than the grey, cold, wet, industrial wasteland of Manchester.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but was he Barca's number 1? If not, my point is if he wasn't good enough for Barca's number one, it seems like he won't be recognised as a keeper for the future, given he is also injury prone and still not 100% now I don't think. I will say, he must be the greatest EVER number 3 keeper in the history of world football and I still don't understand why he is at Utd, surely there were better career prospects for him than that. If Utd fall back on him following a De Gea exit, I will be most surprised. They'd perhaps be better off with Lindegaard.

Was he in fact on the bench with Barca?

Yes, he was. He decided at the start of last season to leave, then he did his knee last March which is why he was unattached until Man United picked him up.
