Yes. But we don't have to sell. If levy tells poch that is your squad till january. That will be his squad.
I am not really talking about Spurs, specifically.

Zaha might kick up a fuss, hand in another transfer request. Palace could dig their heels in or decide it's not worth having an unhappy player and feel forced into selling him.

Arsenal have said Ozil and Kolasinac won't play vs Newcastle due to security concerns. They may feel as if they can't stay and force a move.

It hinders all clubs. That's why I said perhaps having a domestic to domestic transfer window close before the season begins but allowing buying/selling to Europe or outside until the end of August, in line with their window, may be a good compromise until the other leagues adopt the same approach. As it stands, being the only league to close at this time is a mistake because none of the other leagues follow. I didn't mention Spurs at all.

Same for all the clubs. If they tell the players and agents we will not be listening to any offers until january, then the players can kick up as much fuss as they want it wont change anything.
Why would they kick a fuss now, when they have less chance of a move than before our window closed?
Ok you say ozil and that with security fears, that has nothing to do with the window. What happens if it was september 1st and it happened?

Looks like they've been trying to sell ozil anyway.

For the leagues that start in August/September and ends in May/June, there should be a common window with the same opening and closing date - probably decided by UEFA.
