Jennings has to be the best and he was at the club for so long. Followed by Clemence and Lloris. Cannot comment on Brown as I did not see him play. The same applies to Ted Ditchburn, who I believe was superb. I did meet Ditchburn when I was a kid and he sold me a pair of football boots in the Sports Shop he ran after he stopped playing. How times have changed!

I never saw Jennings play, but of the keepers I've seen, Lloris for me rates just above Clemence.

Didn't say he was, just don't appreciate any Spurs players going to them no matter what.
All THFC players must know the animosity between the 2 sets of fans.
The only ones coming the other way were their dregs like Laurie Brown.

I agree. Pat Jennings should have known not to cross the divide. Can't forgive him really though he clearly is more Spurs since hanging up the gloves.

We took on Terry Neil and George Graham of course.

I think there's a lot of Spurs fans - including myself - who were either not born or too young to see Jennings play for us. People tend not to have much of an opinion on players they've never watched. I've heard plenty of great things about Jennings, but why would I vote for him based on reputation alone?
Would you consider yourself able to give a vote then?

Different era
Jennings was a massive figure in his time and as it was my impressionable years he would be my No1 ... just
Hugo is very very good and the game is very different

Jennings was without a doubt ( imo) the best I have ever seen, and I saw Yashin, Banks etc.

"We all agree Jennings is better than Yashin
Greaves is better than Eusabio and
City are in for a thrashin' "

Remember those days very fondly:)

I was born 1995. Spurs fan from when I can remember so safe to say Lloris is the best keeper I've seen play for us. Before though, of all the other options I'd have said Friedel was the most solid, until Hugo came along.
Robbo in his early days mate.

Aleksic and Parks in the early 80s, Gomes against Arsenal and Chelsea - even the keepers we wouldn't consider our best have had moments of magic.

For me though I'd go with
Jennings
Lloris
Clem

Clemence was better than Hugo.
Absolutely. And I haven't seen the pool on the official site but people who saw both Pat Jennings and Ted Ditchburn used to say the latter was the best. I lived Big Pat and he was better than Hugo and Ray Clemency.

Nope, English. But I had an Iversen shirt and I'm a Jo Nesbo fan, so close enough.
Then you probably know that Jo Nesbø is a Spurs fan too! In his book "Gjenferd" he dressed the dope dealers in arseshirts! A few of his friends, which supports "the lot down the road", did not like it at all. here is a song from Jo Nesbø and his band DiDerre which is called Håp =Hope

Pat Jennings for me even if he did cross the big divide.

There was an thread on here a short while back about fans supporting other teams, either as a second top division team or from lower leagues which seemed to surprise many of our younger members. It all seemed quite normal 30-50 years ago as did the lack of hatred towards other teams such as arse anal. When Pat crossed over the newspapers reported it and we fans moaned a bit but nowhere near as much as if those circumstances were to be repeated today where there's now genuine hatred towards other Premier clubs such as the arse, chelski, citeh etc.
